There are two types of forgiveness; Divine Forgiveness & Human Forgiveness
14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
DIVINE FORGIVENESS:
Although they are types, they are also closely related.
This divine forgiveness first is that that comes to the sinner at the time of repentance
Eph 1:7
In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace;
There is only two conditions to this forgiveness, Receive it by FAITH
Eph 2:8
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:
v7 Redemption: forgiveness
No other religious book except the Bible teaches that god completely Forgives Sin
You and I at times are not able to forgive ourselves.
But notice it is god who deals with you about Forgiveness and He gives it, God initiates it.
The Second condition is you MUST ASK

When God forgives the sinner he separates the sin from the person
Divine Forgiveness is directly relate to Jesus
One difference between Divine and Human Forgiveness is God is always Ready to Forgive.
Sin deserves punishment for it Breaks Gods law.
According to Gods law 2 things must happen for Forgiveness
a life must be taken as a substitute for that of a sinner.
Heb 9:22 And almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood there is no remission
second the sinner must come to God's sacrifice.
in a spirit of repentance and faith
Acts 10:43 To him give all the prophets witness, that through his name whosoever believeth in him shall receive remission of sins.
Forgiveness is connected to Jesus death on the Cross and His Resurrection.
Those to whom forgiveness from God has come what Paul described as Justified
