Summary: We will be discussing John 3:16 in this sermon.

It is once again that we have gathered to do as we were commanded to do in 2 Timothy 2:15. Today you will find me in the book of John, in the 3rd chapter, and beginning and ending at the 16th verse. This verse in the bible would become one of the most famous verses in the world today.

We are told in this verse that God so loved the world. How do we know that God loved the world? We know this because God gave his one and only Son because of our sins. How many of us would give up our child for someone' sins, let alone future sins? See God gave his Son for the sins that had been committed and the sins that were to come. God did all of this not because he had too, but because he loved the world so much.

Once Adam and Eve committed the sin that they committed back in the book of Genesis, God found it in his heart to find a way to find a solution to the sin. The solution that God found was giving his one and only Son. God did this because his Son Jesus was a man that was perfect and he had no sin upon him. With Jesus having no sin upon him, then he was fit to come to earth and die for our sins.

This is why Jesus went to the cross, and did not come off of the cross. He stayed on the cross so that he could die for our sins. Every beraten that Jesus took before heading to the cross, was taken for our sins. Everything that they did to Jesus while he was on the cross, was for our sins. Even when Jesus could have asked God to get them back one by one, he did not. Instead Jesus would say "Father forgive them for they know not what they do."

AND ALL OF GODS CHILDREN SAID AMEN!
