Summary: There is a lot we can for Jesus if we will let him use us for his name sake.

FOR CHRIST SAKE

As believers we may have to endure trails.

Persecution

Matthew 5:11Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

Hatred

Matthew 10:22And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.

Loss of life.

Matthew 10:39He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.

Forsake worldly treasures.

Matthew 19:29And every one that hath forsaken houses, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my name's sake, shall receive an hundredfold, and shall inherit everlasting life.

Suffering

Acts 9:15But the Lord said unto him, Go thy way: for he is a chosen vessel unto me, to bear my name before the Gentiles, and kings, and the children of Israel:

16For I will shew him how great things he must suffer for my name's sake.

Loss of reputation

1st Corinthians 4:10We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.

Death

2nd Corinthians 4: 10We are fools for Christ's sake, but ye are wise in Christ; we are weak, but ye are strong; ye are honourable, but we are despised.
