God wants us to focus on His mission of reaching out to others with His love and the message of Christ. We are all called to play a part in this mission, and God promises to be with us every step of the way.
Today we're gonna talk about our mission. And no, I'm not talking about a secret spy mission, although that would be cool. I'm talking about God's mission for us. And guess what? It's not just for pastors or church leaders. It's for all of us. So, let's get fired up about reaching out to those who don't know Jesus yet!
Think about this: Imagine you're at a party and there's a huge bowl of your favorite candy. But there's a catch - you can't eat it all by yourself. You have to share it with everyone at the party. That's kind of like what God wants us to do with His love. He doesn't want us to keep it all to ourselves. He wants us to share it with everyone we meet.
God's mission for us is not just for pastors or church leaders. It's for all of us.
Our main Bible verse today is Matthew 28:19-20. Jesus tells His followers, "Go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. Teach them to obey all my commands. And remember, I am always with you."
So, what's Jesus saying here? First, He's telling us where to go. And it's not just about going to some far-off place. It's about starting right here, in our own schools, neighborhoods, and sports teams.
Next, He's telling us what to say and teach. We need to share the good news of Jesus with others. But before we do that, we need to show them love, just like Jesus loved us. Love is the foundation of our mission.
And lastly, Jesus promises to be with us always. He gives us the Holy Spirit to empower us. No matter where we go or what we do, He is with us.
So, what's stopping you from sharing God's love? Who is God nudging you to reach out to? Maybe it's that new kid in your class or your neighbor who seems to be always alone.
Let's pray: God, there are so many people around us who don't know you. Use us to reach them. Help us step out of our comfort zones and be used by you. In Jesus' name, Amen!
Remember, guys, just like that bowl of candy, God's love is meant to be shared. So, let's go out there and share it!
