FIVE THINGS REVIVAL WILL CLEAN UP

Text: Matt: 5: 29 And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

30 And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell.

(1) CLEAN HEARTS

A. Problem--- Jeremiah 17: 9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?

We are born with a sinful heart.

Wickedness comes with us from our mothers womb.

Romans 3: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;

B. Purity ---- Matt: 5:8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

We must be as pure as we can .

Only through the Holy Spirit can we be pure.

Hebrews 12:14 Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord:

We must learn how to forgive and love our fellowman.

We must be a peace keeper and a peace maker.

C. Pollution--- Matt:15:19 For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies:

Our heart proceeds all sin .

We say things that are not pleasing to the Lord.

We think things which are unbecoming a Christian

If our heart is clean then will our MINE , LIFE ,ACTIONS will be clean.

(2) CLEAN HEADS

A. Thoughts --- Proverbs 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he: Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

Most of the time we are what we think.

Most always our thoughts control us.

Lead us into temptation

B Temper --- James 1:19 Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath:

Slow down put your heart in action before your mouth speaks.

Most people act on emotions and that leads to greater trouble.

C. Talking -- Psalm 19:14 Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.

Our thoughts lead to words.

Words lead to actions.

Actions lead to bigger trouble.

Be careful how you speak Think before you open you big mouth

Speak right and hold your peace.

(3) CLEAN HABITS

A. Actions-- Galatians 5:16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

The Holy Spirit will keep us clean and pure.

How ever we must walk in him.

We will not live a life of total sin.

B. Affections-- 1st John 2:15 Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

Must people today love the world more than God.

Must want to do things their way.

Money Sex Drugs lead the pack.

C. Allurement--- 1st Cor: 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it.

Every person has a temptation that stays with them waiting to activate.

This is one of the Devils ways of getting to us.

He knows our weakest points.

He knows when to act are move in.

(4) CLEAN HOME

A. Literature-- 2nd Tim: 15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

Every home has one few read it.

We should study it each day.

Must have dust cob webs .

A good center peace.

B. Living -- Joshua 24:15 And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Joshua set his house in order, he was the man of his home.

His family had no chose but to serve God.

Men what’s wrong today?

C. Love--- Ephesians 5: 22 Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.

23For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
