THE MESSAGE

FIVE NOVELTIES OF MARRIAGE : a wedding message

1. NEW BEGINNING:

Genesis.2:24.

Marriage is the beginning of a new family. The old life is forsaken and a new state is entered. Therefore it is important to lay the right foundations for the new family. It is a new opportunity to start a home and a family and it must be entered into with commitment and wisdom.

2. NEW BOND:

Matthew.19:6.

Marriage is a new bond, quite different from the bond between parents and children, brothers and sisters. Life is full of relationships . We have relationships with family, friends , neighbours , staff etc. But marriage is a new bond and a unique bond . It is a bond and a relationship which endures all the vagaries of life sharing and caring for one another and encouraging one another.

3. NEW BURDEN:

I.Timothy 5:8.

Marriage is a new burden and responsibility to provide and care for the family.Marriage involves a commitment to provide and protect . The persons involved must realize this responsibility before entering into the state of matrimony. The word warns those who fail to take care of their family.

4. NEW BRIGHTNESS:

Ecclesiastes.4:9.

Two candles can give more light than one. Marriage can produce a new brightness is serving the Lord. The family is called to be a living witness for the Lord. In this world of sin and iniquity The Lord wants the families of His children to be shining examples of His grace and glory.

5. NEW BOLDNESS:

Ecclesiastes.4:12.

Marriage gives security and courage to face life. Mutual encouragement and motivation can give a fresh courage to face the battles of life. A lonely warrior can get easily disheartened and discouraged. Therefore marriage can provide a new courage and boldness in facing life together.
