FINDING COMFORT IN UNCOMFORTABLE TIMES
Romans 15:4
(4) For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
All of America is looking for comfort during this time of tragedy.
Many are looking in different places.
Some are looking;
To the Government
From our President
In the Military
Many Americans are hoping to find comfort in some or all of these things.
But I have found one place that we as Christians will find comfort.
Not in the Government
Not the President
Not in the Military
We as Christians can find comfort in reading God’s Word. “…comfort of the scriptures”
Comfort of justice
Comfort for a better tomorrow
Comfort can be found in the scriptures
President Bush gave a speech this past week concerning these recent events.
One of the things he done in his speech was to quote Psalms 23
His quoting the bible should be an example to all of us.
In times of tragedy & heartache, go to God’s Word.
God’s Word will bring comfort in our times of trouble.
