The Word of the Governor - Defer

22 And when Felix heard these things, having more perfect knowledge of that way, he deferred them, and said, When Lysias the chief captain shall come down, I will know the uttermost of your matter.

The Word to the Guard - Defend - 23 And he commanded a centurion to keep Paul, and to let him have liberty, and that he should forbid none of his acquaintance to minister or come unto him.

The Word for the Glamorous - Decrease - 24 And after certain days,

when Felix came with his wife Drusilla, which was a Jewess,

he sent for Paul, and heard him concerning the faith in Christ.

The Word to the Godless - Desist - The Truth is -

A Transcendent Truth - 25 And as he reasoned of righteousness,

Christ's righteousness - Compared, Contrasted, and Commended.

A Triumphant Truth - temperance, (Self Control) by the Holy Ghost.

Gals 5:22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance:

against such there is no law.

A Transparent Truth - and judgment to come,

The Judge - Christ,

The Judged - that there shall be a resurrection of the dead, both of the just and unjust.

The Judgment - is Fixed (Appointed), Fair, Faithful, Final, Fundamental.

A Terrifying Truth - Felix trembled,

The Treason - and answered, Go thy way for this time;

The Tragedy - when I have a convenient season, I will call for thee.

We Must Come - in God's Time, on God's Terms, by God's Truth.

The Word to the Glutton - Decide - 26 He hoped also that money should have been given him of Paul, that he might loose him: wherefore he sent for him the oftener, and communed with him.

The Word to the Gullible - Depart -

27 But after two years Porcius Festus came into Felix' room:

and Felix, willing to shew the Jews a pleasure, left Paul bound.

A little sleep - 10 Yet a little sleep,

A little slumber - a little slumber,

A little slack - a little folding of the hands to sleep:

The Destruction in Sleep - Poverty comes -

Surely - 11 So shall thy poverty come

Slowly - as one that travelleth,

Sorely - and thy want

Solemnly - as an armed man.

Felix was Demoted - Recalled to Rome. Drusilla Destroyed in Pompeii
