1 Samuel 15:22 (The Message)

Then Samuel said, Do you think all God wants are sacrifices— empty rituals just for show? He wants you to listen to him! Plain listening is the thing, not staging a lavish religious production.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. Fear not

"And Samuel said to the people, Fear not. You have indeed done all this evil;"

There are times when we fear or afraid of someone or something that happened in our lives. Then this is an encouraging word for you, "Fear Not"

Exodus 20:20 (Amplified Bible)

And Moses said to the people, Fear not; for God has come to prove you, so that the [reverential] fear of Him may be before you, that you may not sin.

2 Timothy 1:7 (Amplified Bible)

For God did not give us a spirit of timidity (of cowardice, of craven and cringing and fawning fear), but [He has given us a spirit] of power and of love and of calm and well-balanced mind and discipline and self-control.

Hebrews 13:6 (Amplified Bible)

So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently and boldly say, The Lord is my Helper; I will not be seized with alarm [I will not fear or dread or be terrified]. What can man do to me?

Psalms 27:1 (Amplified Bible)

[A Psalm] of David. THE LORD is my Light and my Salvation—whom shall I fear or dread? The Lord is the Refuge and Stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?

Psalms 118:6 (Amplified Bible)

The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?

Psalms 23:4 (Amplified Bible)

Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the shadow of death, I will fear or dread no evil, for You are with me; Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort me.

There's nothing to fear, but fear itself. Move with GOD and you will never fear again.

B. Turn not

"yet turn not aside from following the Lord, but serve Him with all your heart. "

Yes, you're afraid but you changed your mind and then you're not afraid anymore but don't be guilty for what happened and don't turn away from the LORD, keep on serving Him with all your heart.

Deuteronomy 11:16 (Amplified Bible)

Take heed to yourselves, lest your [minds and] hearts be deceived and you turn aside and serve other gods and worship them,

Deuteronomy 31:29 (Amplified Bible)

For I know that after my death you will utterly corrupt yourselves and turn aside from the way which I have commanded you; and evil will befall you in the latter days because you will do what is evil in the sight of the Lord, to provoke Him to anger through the work of your hands.

Joshua 23:6 (Amplified Bible)

So be very courageous and steadfast to keep and do all that is written in the Book of the Law of Moses, turning not aside from it to the right hand or the left,

Psalms 40:4 (Amplified Bible)

Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who makes the Lord his refuge and trust, and turns not to the proud or to followers of false gods.

Psalms 101:3 (Amplified Bible)

I will set no base or wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of them who turn aside [from the right path]; it shall not grasp hold of me.

Psalms 125:5 (Amplified Bible)

As for such as turn aside to their crooked ways [of indifference to God], the Lord will lead them forth with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel!

Jeremiah 3:1 (Amplified Bible)

THAT IS to say, If a man puts away his wife and she goes from him and becomes another man’s, will he return to her again? [Of course not!] Would not that land [where such a thing happened] be greatly polluted? But you have played the harlot [against Me] with many lovers—yet would you now return to Me? says the Lord [or do you even think to return to Me?]
