phil 3:
Isaiah 41:10 (KJV) Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
I FIRST, fear is not necessary: Most important God'S Word says so. 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
A. Why? Hebrews 13:5 ……… for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.
1. Sometimes the Lord calms the storm. Sometimes he lets the storm rage and calms his child.
2. We fear men so much because we fear God so little.
II. Do not be discouraged! Jos. 1:9 AMP Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified or dismayed (intimidated), for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.”
A. Discouragement is dissatisfaction with the past, distaste for the present, and distrust of the future. It is ingratitude for the blessings of yesterday, indifference to the opportunities of today, and insecurity regarding strength for tomorrow.
B. We must remember Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forever. Heb 13:8. We must look to Jesus and we will overcome because He did so.
C. God said I will strengthen you. Philippians 4:13 (KJV) I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
III. He will help you. Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.
A. Hebrews 13:6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto me
IV. He holds us with His right hand of His righteousness.
A. John 10:29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand.
B. 2 Corinthians 5:21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
V: He holds our right hand.
A. The right hand represents strength. He reminds us again that He will help us.
Isaiah 41:13 For I the LORD thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
LET US WALK IN FAITH AND NOT IN FEAR! .
