We have been trusted with the Gospel to bring it to others

To Exhort, Comfort, Charge and Implore, as a Father to his children, to Walk Worthy of God.

To Walk in Love, To Walk as Children of Light, To Walk in Wisdom, To Walk in the Spirit of Worship

We have been trusted with the Gospel, to use it for the purpose of bringing others to the LORD.

But also, the Gospel and the WORD of GOD, provides our instruction for living, our walk through this life.

First we must walk worthy of God, and then.

Just as a father to his children, we are to exhort, comfort, charge and implore others to walk worthy of God

Exhort: to urge strongly, to give warnings or advice, to make urgent appeals

Comfort: to give strength and hope

Implore: to cry out, call upon, pray for earnestly

Charge: instruction or command

1 Thessalonians 2:1-12 KJV

1 For yourselves, brethren, know our entrance in unto you, that it was not in vain:

2 But even after that we had suffered before, and were shamefully entreated, as ye know, at Philippi, we were bold in our God to speak unto you the gospel of God with much contention.

OUR EXHORTATION

3 For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile:

4 But as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts.

5 For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness:

6 Nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.

OUR COMFORT

7 But we were gentle among you, even as a nurse cherisheth her children:

8 So being affectionately desirous of you, we were willing to have imparted unto you, not the gospel of God only, but also our own souls, because ye were dear unto us.

9 For ye remember, brethren, our labour and travail: for labouring night and day, because we would not be chargeable unto any of you, we preached unto you the gospel of God.

10 Ye are witnesses, and God also, how holily and justly and unblameably we behaved ourselves among you that believe:

11 As ye know how we exhorted and comforted and charged (implored) every one of you, as a father doth his children,

THE CHARGE

12 That ye would walk worthy of God, who hath called you unto his kingdom and glory.

Ephesians 5

TO WALK IN LOVE

1 Therefore be imitators of God as dear children. 2 And walk in love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us, an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweet-smelling aroma.

TO WALK AS CHILDREN OF LIGHT

8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness, righteousness, and truth), 10 finding out what is acceptable to the Lord.

TO WALK IN WISDOM

15 See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, 16 redeeming the time, because the days are evil.

17 Therefore do not be unwise, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

TO WALK IN THE SPIRIT OF WORSHIP

18b be filled with the Spirit, 19 speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord, 20 giving thanks always for all things to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another in the fear of God.
