Father’s Best Robe

But the father said to his servants, ‘Quick! Bring the best robe and put it on him. Put a ring on his finger and sandals on his feet.’ Luke 11:22

The best robe that Father gives to all prodigal sinners is the robe of Christ's righteousness. It removes(covers) all guilt, shame, defeat, and nakedness, making us acceptable to God. It is a divine fabric woven by the hands of the Holy Spirit and washed in the blood of Jesus Christ. It was prepared before eternity and made available on the Cross. It is available for all Prodigal Sons who come to their senses via repentance and a proper understanding of God.

It's an ancient eternal fabric that cannot be torn or worn out. It protects us from the wrath of God and the taunts of the enemy. This robe is a sign that we are restored back as the sons of the living God into the divine lineage of God, making us part of his inheritance and heritage. We who are struggling with sin and survival have become the sons of the living God and coheirs of his inheritance.

This robe is better than the robe of many colours that Jacob gave to Joseph. The robe of many colours that Joseph wore created jealousy among brothers, but Father's robe of Christ's righteousness attracts others(everyone) to know God. The robe of Christ's righteousness contains many colours, badges, emblems, and victories that declare Christ's achievements. If Christ's achievements are counted and measured, they total billions upon billions in worth. This robe is worn in heaven and is part of the dress code of heaven. When Father God sees humanity wearing this robe, his wrath subsides and anger appeased, and he becomes a compassionate Father. With this robe, we can boldly enter the throne room of God.

Father commanded his servants (angels or working Spirits) to bring this robe quickly. As soon as he gets a glimpse of you, he will order his angels to bring this robe. He does not want you to spend even a short period of time feeling guilty, sad, or regretful for the past. He loves you so much and he does not want you to feel sad or guilty for even a moment. Return back to him.

His servants (angels or working Spirits) bring this robe. The Holy Spirit puts this robe on you as a sign that you are the sons of living God and coheirs of his inheritance. Prodigal sons no matter how much deep you are in sin and how much the enemy has stolen from you – come back to your senses and return back to God. The Father God is waiting and longing to see you. He has been waiting for you to return since the day you left. Over time, his longing to see you return has grown stronger. He is not angry with you, but rather full of compassion. Return back to him.

Immediately when he gets a glimpse of you, he will run to you. He doesn't care about anyone's opinions or what you've lost. His heart is filled with only love for you and nothing else. Many a times, he comes outside to see if you have returned or not. His heart yearns and longs to see you. You come as you are, and Father is taking care of (covering) everything else - your past, sin, mistakes, and guilt - with His best robe of Christ's righteousness.

You will no longer be concerned about your past or sin because it will now be Christ's righteous deeds rather than your own righteous deeds. From now on its not your righteous deeds but its Christ’s righteous deeds. The robe of Christ's righteousness covers, shields, and makes you whole. Don’t look at your own righteous deeds, but rather look at Christ’s righteous deeds.

Don't try to impress Father God with your righteous deeds; it will only make the robe dirtier. Depend on Christ's righteousness because only His righteous deeds can make you acceptable to the Father God and guarantee entry to heaven. Prodigal sons return back to the Father and allow him take care of everything else.
