Summary: When heroes fall, the truth still stands tall.

After watching so many clips of those who falsely prophesied about the election. I find it hard to understand how people still follow these leaders.

Yet, people are tossing their material written by Ravi Zacharias because they found out about his sin. The question is was what he said truth? If it was, you should not toss out the truth because he sinned. Bill Gothard had some good teachings, but he fell. The truth he taught did not fall. Truth is still truth even if a demon says it. After all, they proclaimed Jesus to be who He is though they are pathological liars. (Mark 1:24)

David committed two sins that required death. God forgave him and we quote David, are comforted by his writings and made songs out of them. Solomon in his old age went into idolatry because of his wives. Both men's writings were inspired by God and God kept their writings in the OT even though they fell.

We no longer have men writing Scripture. We do have men researching and teaching truth. If anything they write is truth then we should accept what they wrote. If they later fall, the truth they wrote did not become false.

Ravi's teachings and writings were very deep and confounded the naysayers. To the best of my knowledge, he never said that the Holy Spirit spoke directly to him giving him what he wrote. Indeed, in some area, he may have been found to have made a mistake. I do not know. If so, it was just an error. An honest mistake can happen.

On the other hand, there are those who call themselves prophets and fail often when they said that the Jesus or the Holy Spirit told then directly whatever they prophesied and still it did not come to pass. In the OT, there would have been only one false prophecy. That rule still is how we determine a false prophet today. If it does not come to pass, then God did not speak to them. There is no downgrade to that requirement.

That puts them in great trouble with God and it should signal our departure from their teachings. Their churches should empty and their books and other merch no longer bought. Yet, people will accept the excuses they make and still fawn after them for another prophetic word of knowledge or wisdom.

One said that the Holy Spirit told him that their were a trinity of trinities or nine of them. He backed down when he got backlash, but his followers should have walked away. No one truly in touch with God would hear such a heretical concept. Many believe that Jesus went to Hell and was beaten on by demons contrary to the Word. Some have been to Heaven on nearly a daily basis seeing dinosaurs and football games. If you cannot go heaven, just hang out with one lady and she will take you with her.

As the lad in the video I watched said, all of the prophets missed the election and did not see the riots. They did not see the C-19, but could huff and puff it away or ban it. Did that work?

Christians need to get into the Word and see what matches the Book. Experience that is outside of sound doctrine or exegesis is not a good experience. Only John went to Heaven. You cannot go time travel in Jesus. God does not drop down gold dust, jewels or angel feathers. Hands do not drip oil. You cannot declare anything into existence. You are not a little god.

If you are going to toss Ravi's or Bill's material, you will have a small library when you start dumping the Word of Faith and other teachers. Even though, I am an author you would be better off just having one book, the Bible, than to be confused by the false prophets that abound. There were many prophets in the king's court, but only Jeremiah was correct. Do not let fame fool you. You can be on the bestsellers list and go to Hell.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

If they were doing the works in verse 22, it is not hard to believe that they were popular. Be careful. Seek your word from the Word. Beware of the mess that is out there. Maranatha!!
