Summary: When you obey God faithfully like Isaac, besides flocks and herds (resource for making money),God would send faithful servants and workers (not few but many) who would stick with you – no matter what. A bunch of good team workers are a blessing!

Faithful workers

Genesis 26:33”So he called it Shibah; therefore the name of the city is Beersheba to this day.”

What I saw in chapter 26 of Genesis are the servants of Isaac who stood with him and dug wells for Isaac despite the severe opposition that Isaac faced in Gerar, towards the end we see Isaac persevering and digging wells again and again while his brother Esau was busy marrying again and again. (v 34) Look at the difference ..uh? Don’t think it’s easy digging wells that were closed long ago, it’s tough job, since I watch people dig bore-wells near my home, they get laborers from other states to do it, but Isaac had many servants to do it for him. Amen. (read Genesis 26:14) When you obey God faithfully like Isaac, besides flocks and herds (resource for making money),God would send faithful servants and workers (not few but many) who would stick with you – no matter what. A bunch of good team workers are a blessing! This is awesome!

FAITHFUL WORKERS: After my salvation, I was like ‘burning for Christ’ and passionate about doing something for the Lord who saved me, along with my husband (who also got saved simultaneously) we spoke to the Sr Pastor’s wife and told her that we are eager to serve the Church and that’s how we took a step for God; however, the assistant pastor asked me, ‘do you have any prayer request? - bam, I told him, “ I need a caretaker for my infant son because I got to join duty.” Sincerely he prayed, ah, after few weeks the servant girl walked in and stayed with me for the next 14 years, the ‘ones’ sent by God would stay with you. Amen. When you serve God and obey Him, He takes care of you, I’m excited to share this.

People whom you think would come with you would not show up one day! Caveat! We got to have our hearts strengthened and you need to have the fortitude to move on without ‘such people’ who were with you 24/7. Somebody needs to be encouraged today! Do not completely trust someone and expect them to go with you where you are going, one day they would drop off, now hang on, this was the Lord’s doing. Amen. They cannot fit in now, their season is over, their bio-date would not match the kind of people that you may need in future. Your next level people would be different, there were many people who dropped me like hot potato and left me in the lurch; however, such treatment has made me stronger, sturdier and prayerfully depend on God for everything. If you are in an important position with huge responsibilities, then you cannot afford to relax, be alert all the time and keep analyzing people. Don’t take things for granted, anybody listening?

You got to be competent enough, confident, tough, wise, committed and determined to do your business successfully in the midst of gentile people, worshipping differently and who do not know your God. Isaac pitched his tent in the Valley of Gerar, and dwelt there, he dug again the wells of water which they had dug in the days of Abraham his father, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham. Whenever Isaac’s servants dug in the valley, and found a well of running water, the herdsmen of Gerar quarrelled with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” Imagine doing your business in the midst of such confrontation! But we got to survive wisely like Isaac, we run our free school for the poor and our free Home for the kids (ABIDE SCHOOL & ABIDE ANGEL HOME) in the midst of such people. Workers are very irresponsible, lazy, untrustworthy, and unpredictable but the challenge is to keep going. We have no water in both the places, it has dried up; nevertheless, we got to run the show, we buy water or take water from public pumps. You don’t get to see all these problems and sufferings in the picture that I upload. One day God would bless you like the way He blessed Issac.

SERVANTS OF DAVID:

2 Samuel 15:13 “Then a messenger came to David, saying, "The hearts of the men of Israel are with Absalom. 14 David said to all his servants who were with him at Jerusalem, "Arise and let us flee, for otherwise none of us will escape from Absalom. Go in haste, or he will overtake us quickly and bring down calamity on us and strike the city with the edge of the sword. 15 Then the king's servants said to the king, "Behold, your servants are ready to do whatever my lord the king chooses."

My eyes welled up as I read the above words, God does not leave you alone, at the worst time of his life, God sent some ‘awesome servants’ who stood by David’s side when his own son was plotting to kill him. There was a day when David stood alone after he ran away from the palace of Saul, leaving behind his beloved friend Jonathan, read 1 Samuel 21:1 “David went to the town of Nob to see Ahimelech the priest. Ahimelech trembled when he saw him. “Why are you alone?” he asked. “Why is no one with you?” From that ‘solitary stage’ God brought him to a ‘broad place’, but the journey was not smooth though. Wait for your turn. Anybody listening?
