Faith Over Delusion

So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. Romans 10:17 KJV

Not signs and wonders. They had Christ in front of them performing miracles and still did not believe. Jesus said that a wicked and adulterous generation would not receive a sign except the sign of Jonah. If there was ever a wicked and adulterous generation, we are in one.

Matthew 16:4 A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed.

He did predict a time of signs and wonders.

Mark 13:22 For false Christs and false prophets shall rise, and shall shew signs and wonders, to seduce, if it were possible, even the elect.

23 But take ye heed: behold, I have foretold you all things.

Paul also warned us.

1 Thessalonians 2:7 For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.

2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12 That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Faith comes by hearing the Word that leads us into the object of faith the living Word of God, Jesus Christ.
