FAITH

TEXT: JOB 22:28, 2 CHRONICLES 20:17

INTRODUCTION

Faith is the assurance, confidence, confirmation, reality and supporting ground of things hoped for. Hence, it is the evidence, and the proof of things not seen – Hebrews 11:1. This divine faith does not originate within us rather it is given by God – 2 Peter 1:1. God is not only the giver of faith but He is the Author and He perfects our faith – Hebrews 12:2

THE CONSENT OF IGNORANCE

The devil cannot defeat you because Jesus Christ has already defeated the devil. If he defeats us, then we permitted him to do so – this is consent of ignorance. Our feelings have nothing to do with what God says through His word. His word makes us to think right, believe right and speak rightly. Consider this scriptures and try applying the right faith – Matthew 8:17, Isaiah 53:4-5. Differentiate between faith and hope. Romans 8:25, Psalm 130:5

BELIEVING WITH THE HEART – Romans 10:10, Mark 11:23

The heart of man is the very core of man which is the spirit of man. The faith that does wonders must come from the spirit of man. The mind and the body of man cannot command supernatural exploits by faith. The inner man, the heart of man are the same with the spirit of man – when the word of God gets to your spirit, it grows your faith and receives from God.

HOW TO TURN YOUR FAITH LOOSE

No faith without confession – Romans 10:10, Mark 11:23-24

Work your faith – James 2:21-22

Walk, live and see with faith – 2 Corinthians 5:7 Romans 1:17

RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN FAITH AND FASTING

In Matthew 17:15-21, why did Jesus Christ add the spiritual principle of fasting? Do you think that Jesus Christ fasted to achieve that miracle? Should we live a fasted life as Christians?

CONCLUSION – Faith may not make things easy but it makes it possible.
