Faith is an Invisible Ladder
I. Faith is an invisible latter.
(Heb 11:1 KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
A. It can be seen when it is in action.
(James 2:18 KJV) Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: show me thy faith without thy works, and I will show thee my faith by my works.
1. I tell people to receive healing to do 3 things. Faith in action.
a. Ask God, pray.
b. Believe God to do it, faith is now, do not hope, hope is good, it precedes faith but hope is always for the future. God is the God of the now!
c. Put your faith in action! Check your self.
II. Like a ladder, faith goes everywhere.
(Rom 1:8 KJV) First, I thank my God through Jesus Christ for you all, that your faith is spoken of throughout the whole world.
The prayer of faith goes everywhere. Ps. 107:20 He sent his word, and healed them, and delivered them from their destructions.
A. That is why we as people to pray for us. When we pray we can send God’s Word.
1. There is a strong reason, as we shall see in point 5.
III. Faith is expandable. It can meet small needs or big needs.
(Phil 4:19 KJV) But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.
A. In our early ministry we saw 2 babies with blood cancer healed in Maryland. In September of 1963 in Exeter, England, a whole church it seemed received healing.
B. Then in South Africa, Pakistan and Nigeria God did a mass miracle
C. Money met our need for ministry in London with giving our last 10 shillings and God brought a stranger in off the street and gave me 5 pounds. In Australia God gave us over $5,000 through an unexpected means to pay for our New Guinea crusades.
1. Make it work in your life by reading what God has given you.
(Rom 10:17 KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
IV. Faith never Fails.
(1 John 5:4 KJV) For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
V. Faith only comes in a full measure.
(Rom 12:3 KJV) For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.
A. God’s faith.
(Gal 2:20 KJV) I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.
1. Christ is in us. Then our faith goes everywhere because He goes everywhere in us.
2. Story of thumb on scale when I was a child.
VI. You can know faith. God’s Word is God’s will.
(Rom 10:17 KJV) So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
A. The leaper found out by hearing. He knew Christ’s ability and said "
I know."
B. Believe and you can receive.
(Mark 9:23 KJV) Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth.
