Facing the Giants in Life
Text: I Tim. 6:12
“Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses”
Introduction:
IN EASTON’S BIBLE DICTIONARY Giant symbolize Violent or causing to fall (Gen.6:4). The word may also be derived a root
signifying “wonder” and therefore “monsters”.
I. We should have Physically and Spiritually skilled
a) Exodus 1:10- …let us deal wisely with them…
b) Exodus 14: 14 – The Lord shall fight for you and you shall hold your peace
II. We should be “Brave”(fearless) in facing the Giants
a) Deuteronomy 3:22 – Ye shall not fear them; for the Lord your God he shall fight for you.
b) Deuteronomy 20:4 – For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.
III. We must fight a good fight of faith for us to be successful soldiers of the cross.

b) 2 Tim 4:7 I have fought a good fight of faith, I have finest my course, I have kept the faith
