Facing The Coming Days

Summary: With all the changes in our nation the past years, how to prepare ourselves and our children to stay with God.
INTRODUCTION: Recently, my grandson had his 16th birthday, my son had his 40th and I had my 69th. I began to think about the changes in this nation of ours in my grandsons 16 years, my sons 40 years and my
69 years. My, dramatic in all areas. From our morals, to crime, to ethics, to terrorist, to family life, to marriage of same sex, on and on. It is freighting and how to you get ready for the changes
in the next 16, 40 or 69 years. Psalms 16 is a great Psalms to teach our children and youth. David was also facing unsure days but his faith is expressed so well in these verses.
Number One HAVE A CLOSE CONSTANT RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD
Talk with God. vs. 1a
Take shelter in God. vs. 1b
Claim God as my own. vs. 2a
Humble my self before God. vs. 2b
Fellowship with the family of God. vs. 3
Do not leave God. vs. 4
Number Two RECEIVE THE GIFTS OF GOD
God is my live, portion and our cup. vs. 5a
God makes our life secure. vs. 5b
God provides pleasant living. vs. 6a
God gives us a great inheritance. vs. 6b
God gives counsel and instruction. vs. 7
God is always before me and is my guard, if
I want Him. vs. 8
Number Three KEEP THE HOPE OF AN ETERNAL LIFE IN GOD Rejoice in my heart, with my lips I proclaim
proclaim joy and rest because of
the hope in God.vs. 9
I will not be abandon even in death by God.

There is a joyful path into the presence of
God. vs. 11a
There will be eternal pleasures with God.
