Summary: * He was killing the system of Satan. The greatest trick Satan has is for us to believe he doesn't exist. It's not one man beating another, but a puppet master pulling the strings. It's good against evil.

Expand - God’s Kingdom
(Intro)
I hope everyone has not just been enjoying our Expand series, but getting filled with the word. Through this series our expectations are high that we get fed with meat and not milk. Amen? Amen. Speaking of Amen, we learned last week that Gods Amen was part of his daily prayer regiment in the creation of the universe and all to follow. The week before we understood that we need an open mind in order to receive what God has for us. That was the story of Abram and Sarai.
Today we are going to another familiar story but receive a different revelation. Remember, meat not milk.
Okay, who is ready to be fed?
Exodus 2:11-12
"And it came to pass in those days, when Moses was grown, that he went out unto his brethren, and looked on their burdens: and he spied an Egyptian smiting an Hebrew, one of his brethren. And he looked this way and that way, and when he saw that there was no man, he slew the Egyptian, and hid him in the sand."
(Luke 17:21)"Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within (in the midst of) you."
(pray)
(Message)As we know from O.T. history, Moses was saved by the action of his mother Jochebed (God's glory) and sister Miriam (strong waters) after Pharaoh saw the Hebrews were mightier (Exodus 1:9)(mightier is not necessarily meaning physical strength or just might in numbers. Here it represents wealth.) To give an idea of their wealth, In Genesis 26:12-16, Abimelech (king of Philistines) kicked Isaac and his people out from the land of Gerar because they were mighty
(Genesis 26:12-16)"Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the Lord blessed him. - And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great: - For he had possession of flocks, and possession of herds, and great store of servants: and the Philistines envied him (jealousy). - For all the wells which his father's servants had digged in the days of Abraham his father, the Philistines had stopped them, and filled them with earth. - And Abimelech said unto Isaac, Go from us; for thou art much mightier than we."
* How many know, the Devil doesn't like prosperity in God's kingdom?
(John 10:10) says, "The thief cometh not, but for to steal, kill and destroy..."
Everything in your possession he wants it all. And if he can't have it, no one will.
So Pharaoh goes on to say, if they were to join forces with another country during war, Egypt would certainly fall. So his action was to set task masters over them (enslave them) as it was given to Abraham.
* (Gen 1:11-12)..."Therfeore they did set over them task masters to afflict them with their burdens. And they built for Pharaoh treasure cities, Pithom and Raamses." But the more they afflicted them, the more they multiplied and grew..."
This is prophecy coming true as God had spoken to Abram. But he didn't stop there. He commanded his people to kill all male newborns and the daughters shall be saved.
Ladies and gentlemen, satan's purpose doesn't stop for the oppressed. He doesn't stop for the weary and beaten down. He doesn't give pause because you are out of breath.
* (I Peter 5:8) "Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"
When a lion has a hunger, he has to fill it. Pharaohs hunger was power.
So Moses, being drawn from the Nile River was brought up in a system that was not only about building glory, fame and splendor and conquering. The great pyramids of Giza we marvel at today, the economic system established through import/export, agriculture, government. He learned from the finest and smartest.
But after years of being under this particular headship, revelation of who he truly was took over by one act. When revelation sinks in, then you question and think about the life you have lead thus far. As soon as the heart begins to weep for yourself, change should be the next thing.
So, what happen next? He now feels the pain his brethren and sisters have suffered over 400 years by the instance of one of his brethren being beaten by a "fellow" Egyptian. Not one more second can he stand this brutality. Not one more day can his people die in front of his eyes. And he takes action against the oppressor (Pharaoh) by slaying a guard.
But here is today's revelation. Moses wasn't killing an Egyptian.
* He was killing the system of Satan. The greatest trick Satan has is for us to believe he doesn't exist. It's not one man beating another, but a puppet master pulling the strings. It's good against evil. It's God of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and Israel standing against false prophets.
