Summary: CHRIST IS OUR PASSOVER LAMB.

EXODUS

OBSERVATION:

MOSES IS A TYPE OF CHRIST (DEUTERONOMY 18:15) BOTH FUNCTIONED AS PROPHET, PRIEST AND KING (MOSES WAS NOT OFFICIALLY MADE KING BUT HE RULED ISRAEL AS A KING SHOULD). YOU CAN CLEARLY SEE CHRIST IN THE JEWISH PASSOVER, RECORDED IN EXODUS CHAPTER 12: 23-32.

INTERPRETATION:

READ EXODUS 12: 23-32

POINTS TO PONDER:

EXODUS (MEANING GO OUT OR DEPART) IS THE STORY OF GOD RESCUING HIS PEOPLE, THE JEWS. GOD STRUCK AN AGREEMENT WITH THE JEWS AT MOUNT SINAI. HE SET UP LAWS FOR HIS PEOPLE TO FOLLOW. THE TEN COMMANDMENTS (EXODUS 20) LAID THE FOUNDATION. GOD REQUIRED ANIMAL SACRIFICES FOR SIN THE JEWS COMMITTED. THE TENT OF MEETING (TABERNACLE) WAS THE CENTER OF WORSHIP.

CHRIST IS CLEARLY SEEN IN THE PASSOVER. THE BLOOD OF A PURE LAMB WAS SPREAD OVER THE DOORPOSTS OF HEBREW HOMES, SPARING THEM FROM GOD’S JUDGMENT OF DEATH. THE EGYPTIAN HOMES WERE NOT THROUGH HIS BLOOD, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, ACCORDING TO THE RICHES OF HIS GRSPARED AND THE FIRSTBORN IN EACH HOUSEHOLD DIED.

CLEARLY HIS SHED BLOOD ON CALVARY WAS BLOOD SHED FOR YOUR SALVATION. IT WILL SAVE YOU FROM ETERNAL DAMNATION.

APPLICATION: EPHESIANS 1:7 (NKJV) IN HIM WE HAVE REDEMPTION THROUGH HIS BLOOD, THE FORGIVENESS OF SINS, ACCORDING TO THE RICHES OF HIS GRACE.
