Excuse Me, But I Got To Press On

Summary: “The Ultimate Glory-Moving together in one direction, purpose and toward one goal.”
For unity among us despite our differences, without compromising truth, is one of God’s great desires.
As Christians, as brothers and sisters in the Lord, we can accomplish far more by working together than by acting individually. God instructed the Church to “bear one another’s burdens.” When we do-when we work together and share common goals and values-there is no limit on what we can accomplish.
Furthermore, Eph. 4:3-4 admonishes us to endeavor, make an effort, pursue with purpose, to keep unity. For His Spirit has created the bond of peace, the spiritual cord that binds us together in love. Though we are unique and have different roles, we are completely unified in every divine aspect and purpose, to thwart our enemy who’s purpose is to kill, still, and destroy our dreams, aspirations, and desires.
Now, to our third component, we must press on to our collective goal and mission through obedience to God’s Word.
For John 14:15 Jesus says, “If ye love me, keep my commandments.” This is what I believe He is telling us in this passage. “If you continue to believe in Me, if you abide in Me, you will be able to do the type of works you have seen in Me do, and even more of them because my spirit will be in each of you, working in you and through you to accomplish my purpose for you.”
So, no devil in hell, and no opposing force can prevent us in pursuing our goal and purpose if we stay obedient to the Word of God, obedient to the plan of God, and obedient to the direction of God for this church and for our life. For obedience is a mark of a true disciple!
Now to my last point, the fourth component that will guaranty our success as men and women of God in our families and Church is Love.
For love is unselfish. It is a purposeful act of self-giving. It is a thoughtful and willing commitment that keeps a family together, a church together, and a neighborhood at peace. Love even puts worldly successes in right perspective. As we move together in one direction, purpose and toward one
goal, we must bare the fruit of love.
Jesus said to His disciples and expressively with truth to us today in John 13:35, “By this shall all men know ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”
So, let us press through the difficulties, the disappointments, and the displeasures of life.
Tell misunderstanding, “Excuse Me, But I Got To Press On.” Tell failure, “Excuse Me, But I Got To Press On.” Tell separation, divorcé, and loneliness, “Excuse Me, But I Got To Press On.” Tell backbiting, braw-beating, belittlement, “Excuse Me, But I Got To Press On.”
For I’m pressing on the upward way, new heights I’m gaining every day, I’m not going to allow disappointment, failure, rejection, rebellion, sickness, misunderstanding, to stop me from pressing on. I just got to say, “Excuse Me, But I Got To Press!”
