Titus 3:8 (Amplified Bible)

3:8 This message is most trustworthy, and concerning these things I want you to insist steadfastly, so that those who have believed in (trusted in, relied on) God may be careful to apply themselves to honorable occupations and to doing good, for such things are [not only] excellent and right [in themselves], but [they are] good and profitable for the people.

VIII. MAIN BODY:

A. The WORD of GOD is a trustworthy saying

"This message is most trustworthy, and concerning these things I want you to insist steadfastly,"

1 Timothy 1:15 (Amplified Bible)

1:15 The saying is sure and true and worthy of full and universal acceptance, that Christ Jesus (the Messiah) came into the world to save sinners, of whom I am foremost.

1 Timothy 4:9 (Amplified Bible)

4:9 This saying is reliable and worthy of complete acceptance by everybody.

2 Samuel 7:28 (Amplified Bible)

7:28 And now, O Lord God, You are God, and Your words are truth, and You have promised this good thing to Your servant.

The WORD of GOD is trustworthy, worthy of full and universal acceptance by everybody because they are Truth and all GOD's Promises are fulfilled.

B. As you trust in GOD, be careful

"so that those who have believed in (trusted in, relied on) God may be careful"

Leviticus 18:4 (Amplified Bible)

18:4 You shall do My ordinances and keep My statutes and walk in them. I am the Lord your God.

Leviticus 25:18 (Amplified Bible)

25:18 Therefore you shall do and give effect to My statutes and keep My ordinances and perform them, and you will dwell in the land in safety.

Joshua 1:8 (Amplified Bible)

1:8 This Book of the Law shall not depart out of your mouth, but you shall meditate on it day and night, that you may observe and do according to all that is written in it. For then you shall make your way prosperous, and then you shall deal wisely and have good success.

We have a part to play as partner of GOD, we take care of His Words in our hearts and GOD takes care of us, it's plain and simple. You can't take care of yourself but GOD can and will do it for your own sake. Our responsibility is not to forget His Words and He has a good command to follow, always read the Word of GOD, and meditate it twice a day. Others like HOLY COMMUNION allows you to remember what He has done and we also do COMMUNION twice a day, everyday.

C. Devote myself to do what is good

"to apply themselves to honorable occupations and to doing good,"

Matthew 5:16 (Amplified Bible)

5:16 Let your light so shine before men that they may see your moral excellence and your praiseworthy, noble, and good deeds and recognize and honor and praise and glorify your Father Who is in heaven.

1 Timothy 6:18 (Amplified Bible)

6:18 [Charge them] to do good, to be rich in good works, to be liberal and generous of heart, ready to share [with others],

Hebrews 10:24 (Amplified Bible)

10:24 And let us consider and give attentive, continuous care to watching over one another, studying how we may stir up (stimulate and incite) to love and helpful deeds and noble activities,

We can't do the things we never devoted ourselves to do. We are consecrated by GOD to do good works before the foundation of the world.
