Joshua 24:15
“15 But if serving the LORD seems undesirable to you, then choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your forefathers served beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you are living. But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.”
INTRO:
I. PRIORITIES AS A HUSBAND
1. Set your eyes only on her
2. Learn to be romantic
3. Teach her to trust in you
4. Be considerate
5. Treat her with respect
6. Show her that your future depends on her
II. PRIORITIES AS A WIFE
1. Be Biblical submissive –
2. Give him confidence
3. Give him good, not harm
4. Laugh with him
5. Let him enjoy you
1) Is 62:5 “5 As a young man marries a maiden, so will your sons marry you; as a bridegroom rejoices over his bride, so will your God rejoice over you.”
6. Respect them
1) Eph 5:33 “33 However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.”
III. PRIORITIES AS A FATHER
1. Educate your children
1) Dt. 4:9 “9 Only be careful, and watch yourselves closely so that you do not forget the things your eyes have seen or let them slip from your heart as long as you live. Teach them to your children and to their children after them.”
2. Bless them
1) Heb. 11:20 “20 By faith Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau in regard to their future.”
3. Pray for them
1) 1 Chron 22:11, 12 “11 “Now, my son, the LORD be with you, and may you have success and build the house of the LORD your God, as he said you would. 12 May the LORD give you discretion and understanding when he puts you in command over Israel, so that you may keep the law of the LORD your God.”
4. Be patient with them
1) Eph 6:4 “ “4 Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”

IV. PRIORITIES AS A MOTHER
1. Be a good influence
1) 2 Tim 1:5 “5 I have been reminded of your sincere faith, which first lived in your grandmother Lois and in your mother Eunice and, I am persuaded, now lives in you also.”
2. Be a comfort for them
1) Is 66:13 “13 As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.”
3. Instruct them
4. Love them
5. Provide for them

V. PRIORITIES AS CHILDREN
1. Avoid conducts that will shame your parents
1) Prov 19:26 “26 He who robs his father and drives out his mother is a son who brings shame and disgrace.”
2. Respect your parents
1) Prov 23:22 “22 Listen to your father, who gave you life, and do not despise your mother when she is old.”
3. Care for your parents
1) 1 Tim 5:4 “4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.”
4. Don’t lay a hand on them
1) Ex 21:15 “15 “Anyone who attacks his father or his mother must be put to death.”
5. Honor your parents
1) Eph 6:2, 3 “2 “Honor your father and mother”—which is the first commandment with a promise— 3 “that it may go well with you and that you may enjoy long life on the earth.”
6. Love your parents
