VIII. MAIN BODY:
A. Enoch was translated because GOD took him
"Because of faith Enoch was caught up and transferred to heaven, so that he did not have a glimpse of death; and he was not found, because God had translated him."
Translated or "metatithemi" in Greek meaning:
1. to transfer
2. to transport
3. to exchange
4. carry over
5. change, remove, translate, turn
Until now, Enoch is still alive, he was not raptured because it will require for him to have a glorified body that will not die, but until now, Enoch is still alive with flesh and blood, he most probably is eating angel's foods.
Psalms 78:25 (Amplified Bible)
78:25 Everyone ate the bread of the mighty [man ate angels’ food]; God sent them meat in abundance.
Jude 1:14 (Amplified Bible)
1:14 It was of these people, moreover, that Enoch in the seventh [generation] from Adam prophesied when he said, Behold, the Lord comes with His myriads of holy ones (ten thousands of His saints)
Psalms 89:48 (Amplified Bible)
89:48 What man can live and shall not see death, or can deliver himself from the [powerful] hand of Sheol (the place of the dead)? Selah [pause, and calmly consider that]!
John 8:51-52 (Amplified Bible)
8:51 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone observes My teaching [lives in accordance with My message, keeps My word], he will by no means ever see and experience death.
8:52 The Jews said to Him, Now we know that You are under the power of a demon (insane). Abraham died, and also the prophets, yet You say, If a man keeps My word, he will never taste of death into all eternity.
Elijah and Enoch are two men of GOD that was translated.
2 Kings 2:11 (Amplified Bible)
2:11 As they still went on and talked, behold, a chariot of fire and horses of fire parted the two of them, and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
How did they did it? By faith. Their faith pleased GOD by observing the WORD of GOD and being a doer of it. Keep GOD's WORDS and you will never taste death into all eternity.
B. Enoch pleased GOD by his faith
"For even before he was taken to heaven, he received testimony [still on record] that he had pleased and been satisfactory to God."
Hebrews 11:6 (Amplified Bible)
11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please and be satisfactory to Him. For whoever would come near to God must [necessarily] believe that God exists and that He is the rewarder of those who earnestly and diligently seek Him [out].
Genesis 5:22-24 (Amplified Bible)
5:22 Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God after the birth of Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters.
5:23 So all the days of Enoch were 365 years.
5:24 And Enoch walked [in habitual fellowship] with God; and he was not, for God took him [home with Him].
Romans 8:8-9 (Amplified Bible)
8:8 So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him.
