Summary: There is a great deal of talk about a massive end time revival, but does the Word teach this?

End time billion people revival? That would be wonderful, but I have my doubts.

Luke 18:7 And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them?

8 I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?

Jesus refers more to an apostasy or falling away, not Christian world domination of seven mountains or billion soul revivals.

2 Thessalonians 2:3

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;

Paul says that before Christ come there will be a great falling away or apostasy, not revival.

2 Thessalonians 2:9-10

9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,

10 And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.

The NAR people say that many people will be saved by miracles. Unfortunately, Paul teaches that the Anti-Christ will come with lying wonders that damn people, not lead them to salvation. As Christ had the prophets and John the Baptist come before Him so also will the the anti-Christ.

2 Corinthians 11:13 For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ.

14 And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light.

15 Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.

Interesting that the office of “apostle” has returned during the time of apostasy to tickle ears.

Matthew 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Sadly, while some know they are playing people for money there will be many who sincerely believe they are doing things in the power of the Holy Spirit only to find they have been serving the Lawless one or the spirit of inquiry.

We should pray for the conversion of the perpetrators and for the people deluded by the false prophets. May God grant then the ability to come out of the snare of the devil and churches that are dens of iniquity giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. Maranatha!
