Title is THE POWER OF ENCOURAGING YOURSELF IN THE LORD
Pray: God restore the courage
2 Thes 2:16 (NIV) 16 May our Lord Jesus Christ himself and God our Father, who loved us and by his grace gave us eternal encouragement and good hope,
Through the GRACE OF GOD is an eternal encouragement
For whatever we needed God has did for us
This encouragement normally flows out of one of three sources:
The person of God though His presence (No matter how discourage you are when your spirit touches the Spirit of God in Worship – we touches the presence of God- When we are worshipping in tongues it doesn’t matter what our mind says, we are touching God)
Encouraging through His People (God’s People) The Bible says to encourage one daily!! Through acts of encouragement, through words of encouragement!!
We are encourage by His promises and His Principles.
There is nothing like the promises of God
Remember Josua when he went the promised land
Do not let My word depart from your mouth!!!
Speak my word
When you do not speak the word of God Courage will go and leave you!!
SPOKEN WORDS
Words are the most powerful vehicle in the universe.
~ Words are containers. They carry faith or fear.
~ Words are seeds. They will produce after their kind. This is the Law of Genesis. You will always reap what
you have sown.
~ Words affect your spirit. Spoken words program your spirit either to success or defeat. The heart of a man
is comparable with soil (MARK 4) Whatever you plant into it, it will produce.
PROVERBS 4:20-21 "Guard (keep) your heart with all diligence for out of it springs the issues of life..."
ROMANS 10:17 "Faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
~ Words paint pictures. Faith-filled words will cause you to see the answer in your spirit. Faith-filled words will always put you over but fear-filled words will always defeat you.
Faith is released with words!
Learn to let your words work for you. Learn to release your faith in words. You can have what you say if what you say comes from the faith in your heart. (MARK 1:3) Learn to speak God's Word. The spoken word of God has creative power.
The spirit world is controlled by the Word of God.
God's Word is forever settled in heaven (PSALM 119:89)
God's Word never returns void of power (ISAIAH 55:10-11)
God upholds all things with the Word of His power (HEBREWS 1:3)
The Word of God conceived in your heart and spoken from your mouth has creative power.
Why do we need encouragement?
Because we are entering our promises. Into the promise land!!
Deut 1:21
Deuteronomium 1:21 (NIV) 21 See, the Lord your God has given you the land. Go up and take possession of it as the Lord, the God of your fathers, told you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”
Josua 1:1-12 (NKJV) 1 After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: 2 “Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. 3 Every place that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said to Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory. 5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. 6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. 7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.” 10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, 11 “Pass through the camp and command the people, saying, ‘Prepare provisions for yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to possess.’ ” 12 And to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and half the tribe of Manasseh Joshua spoke, saying,
