Introduction

Peter's Response

Peter, always eager and impulsive, asks Jesus where he is going. Jesus explains that Peter cannot follow him at that moment but will follow him later. Peter insists that he is willing to lay down his life for Jesus' sake. However, Jesus predicts that Peter will deny him three times before the rooster crows.

Lessons Learned

Peter's boastful words serve as a reminder of the dangers of empty talk. Despite his initial enthusiasm, Peter's fear leads him to deny Jesus. This failure, however, becomes a catalyst for growth and humility among the disciples. Jesus, in his forgiving nature, restores Peter and teaches them all a valuable lesson.
