Plan for: Thanksgiving | Advent | Christmas
This sermon explores how God brings about revival and transformation in our lives and in the Church. It encourages us to embrace these changes and to unite in our shared faith.
Many people believe that God's work ceased long ago, thinking that He no longer moves in their lives or in the Church. However, this is far from the truth! We often fail to recognize what God is doing today because our focus remains on the past. But God declares, "I will do a new thing." Let us explore Isaiah 43:18-21 to understand how we can perceive and embrace God's new work.
Sometimes, we become so fixated on the "good old days" that we fail to see the new things God is doing. While it is good to remember the past with gratitude, we must not get stuck there. It's time to move forward and discover what God is doing today.
God is continuously at work, even in the present moment. Have you noticed the new things He has done today? He has given us breath, another day to worship and praise Him, fresh mercies and compassion, and even revival in our churches. Let us open our eyes to see the new things God is doing.
Even in the most challenging circumstances, God can create a path where it seems impossible. Just as He made a road in the desert and provided water in the wilderness, He will make a way for us. Do not fear if you find yourself in a desert or wilderness; God is faithful to lead and guide you.
God desires a people who are unashamed to praise Him and who have been refined through trials. These are the ones who have witnessed God's faithfulness and His ability to do new things. Let us be that people who boldly declare His praise and share His works with others.
To fully experience God's new work, we must keep our hearts and minds open to what He is doing in our midst. Whether in our hearts, homes, marriages, jobs, churches, schools, or communities, let us allow God to do a new thing. He will refine us through challenges and make a way where it seems impossible. Remember, God has promised to do a new thing. So, let us embrace His work and eagerly anticipate the great things He has in store for us.
