EIGHTEEN FRUIT FOUND IN THE 11 CHAPTER OF THE BOOK OF HEBREWS

Here are 18 faith fruit found in a chapter of the Bible known as the ‘Faith Chapter’. We too need to hold on to these that we may, act, walk and live a life of faith.

Life with its circumstances can seem to surround us at times like a fog that sunlight cannot penetrate. Yet faith is the way we can get above the valley. The Lord enables us to set our hearts on things above and as we do we then can rise above our circumstances. We then can find the courage and calmness for the day and days of our lives. We can climb out of our misery and sit in heavenly places with Christ then with faith we can face each battle and trial and be an overcomer. Understanding is the reward of faith. Therefore seek not to understand that thou mayest believe, but believe that thou mayest understand.

I. Pleasing God!

6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is,……

II. Understand!

3 Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, …..

III. Suffer persecution but not defeated.

39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

IV. Received strength.

11 Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised.

V. Refused the pleasures of sin.

27 By faith he forsook Egypt, not fearing the wrath of the king: for he endured, as seeing him who is invisible.

VI. Obedience.

8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.

1. Instant obedience is the only kind of obedience there is; delayed obedience is disobedience. Whoever strives to withdraw from obedience, withdraws from Grace.

2. Where our Captain bids us go,

3. 'Tis not ours to murmur no;

4. He that gives the sword and shield

5. Chooses to the battlefield

6. Where we are to fight the foe.

VII. Be violent in battle.

34 Quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

VIII. Move with godly fear.

7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.

IX. Quenching the violence of fire.

34 Quenched the violence of fire, ……….

X. Escape the edge of the sword.

34 ………… escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, waxed valiant in fight, turned to flight the armies of the aliens.

XI. Pass through the Red Sea.

29 By faith they passed through the Red sea as by dry land:….

XII. Good Testimony.

5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.

XIII. Excellent sacrifice.

4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.

XIV. Shut the mouth of lions.

33 Who through faith subdued kingdoms, wrought righteousness, obtained promises, stopped the mouths of lions

XV. The dead raised to live again,

35 Women received their dead raised to life again:…..

XVI. Live in the land of promise.

39 And these all, having obtained a good report through faith, received not the promise:

XVII. Wall fall down.

30 By faith the walls of Jericho fell down,

XVIII. Obtain promises.

40 God having provided some better thing for us, that they without us should not be made perfect

1. You can't break God's promises by leaning on them!

May you apply these precious promises and be a part not of those in the 11th chapter of Hebrews but of those found in Hebrews 12 1.Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, 2 Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.
