Easter is Here to Stay!

THE WORD IS: Jesus said unto her, I am the resurrection and the life: he that believes in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live. John 11:25

THE POINT IS: Easter Sunday is a vivid reminder of the death, burial and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. Yet, before these events ever occurred, Jesus declared that He was both the resurrection and the life. Resurrection and life are only found in one person—the great I AM! He is the resurrection power that brings the dead to life. He is also the eternal life that is imparted to the dead. Furthermore, He has raised us up in order that we might walk in newness of life by the power of His might!

THE APPLICATION IS: So what about you—dead or alive? Well, according to Jesus, if you believe in Him, He will grant you resurrection life. When you do believe, He raises you from the dead (spiritually) and becomes your life (eternally). Believing involves entrusting your life totally to Him and depending continuously upon Him. As you do, you will experience His resurrection life every day of your life. This is the walk that glorifies God. Easter is here to stay!
