E is for Empty Hearts!

God, create a pure heart in me.

Give me a new spirit that is faithful to you.

Psalms 51:10

Adam and Eve were the first people God created. He loved them so much!

He wanted them to walk with Him everyday in the Garden of Eden.

He told them to obey Him.

They chose to sin.

God was very sad when Adam and Eve chose to take His love out of their hearts.

He knew this would leave them with Empty Hearts. People could no longer walk with God!

The LORD was very sad that he had made man on the earth.

His heart was filled with pain.

Genesis 6:6

A is for Answer from God!

I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

John 14:18

Jesus is the Answer!

God did not leave us alone.

He knew we had to have an Answer from Him!

Our answer was Jesus Christ.

Because Jesus came to the earth, we would once again be able to walk and talk with God.

Our empty hearts could again be filled with God’s love.

S is for Savior!

..."Look, the Lamb of God! He takes away the sin of the world!

John 1:29

God sent His very own Son, to help us find our way back to Him!

God sent Jesus to be punished for our sins. Jesus is called the Holy Lamb of God.

T is for the Cross!

God was pleased to bring all things back to himself because of what Christ has done. That includes all things on earth and in heaven God made peace through Christ’s blood, through his death on the Cross. Colossians 1:20

Jesus had to die.

His feet and hands were nailed to The Cross.

He was separated from God the Father.

He had never been away from His Father before.

He cried out with so much pain.

When you sin, the pay you get is death. But God gives you the gift of eternal life because of what Christ Jesus our Lord has done. Romans 6:23

He asked God the Father to forgive our sins.

Jesus was perfect and He did not sin.

Father God punished Him for the wrong things that all people do.

It was sad.

But that was not the end of God’s plan for us.

The Holy Lamb of God had a surprise for the world.

Christ didn’t have any sin. But God made him become sin for us.

So we can be made right with God because of what Christ has done for us. 2Corinthians 5:21

When Jesus died, God gave us His grace and forgiveness.

Not because we are good.

Not because we deserve it.

But because of the love that Jesus had for us.

We must agree with God when we are bad and ask Him to forgive us.

He will forgive us and forget the bad things we have done.

...God is faithful and fair. If we admit that we have sinned, He will forgive us our sins. He will forgive every wrong thing we have done. He will make us pure. 1John 1:9

E is for Empty Tomb!

They found the stone rolled away from it. When they entered the tomb. They did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. Luke 24:2-3

After Jesus died, He was buried in a tomb.

It was a cave with a huge stone in front.

After three days, something wonderful happened!

The friends of Jesus discovered the Empty Tomb.

The stone was rolled away!

Angels told them what had happened.

They said, "He is Risen!"

..."Why do you look for the living among the dead? Jesus is not here! He has risen!..." Luke 24:5b-6a

R is for Resurrection!

But God raised him from the dead. He set him free from the suffering of death. It wasn’t possible for death to keep its hold on Jesus. Acts 2:24

God’s plan was not finished!

He wanted people to know that Jesus was a part of Him.

He wanted all men to call Jesus their Lord.

Jesus is God, the Son!

Say with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord."

Believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead.

Then you will be saved. Romans 10:9

Jesus came to see His friends.

Many other people saw that He was alive again.

He was brought back to life, by the power and glory of God the Father.

This is called the Resurrection!

..Christ has been raised from the dead by the Father’s glory. And like Christ we also can live a new life. Romans 6:4

When Jesus went back up to heaven, He made a way for us to follow Him!
