DWELLING IN HIS SECRET PLACE

He that dwelleth in the secret place of the most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord , He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in him will I trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence. He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the Lord , which is my refuge, even the most High, thy habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion and adder: the young lion and the dragon shalt thou trample under feet. Because he hath set his love upon me, therefore will I deliver him: I will set him on high, because he hath known my name. He shall call upon me, and I will answer him: I will be with him in trouble; I will deliver him, and honour him. With long life will I satisfy him, and shew him my salvation.

Psalms 91:1?-?16 KJV

WHERE IS THE SECRET PLACE

It is a place not known to everybody and is not a place for everybody to be. Secret means it may be hard to find, it may be in a place difficult to get to.

2. It is a place free of trouble

(Psa 27:5 NASB) For in the day of trouble He will conceal me in His tabernacle; in the secret place of His tent He will hide me; He will lift me up on a rock.

3. It is a place of Gods Goodness.

(Psa 31:19 NASB) How great is Thy goodness, Which Thou hast stored up for those who fear Thee, Which Thou hast wrought for those who take refuge in Thee, Before the sons of men!

(Psa 31:20 NASB) Thou dost hide them in the secret place of Thy presence from the conspiracies of man; Thou dost keep them secretly in a shelter from the strife of tongues

4. It is a place of Deliverance

Surely he shall deliver thee from the snare of the fowler, and from the noisome pestilence.

Psalms 91:3 KJV

Then

(Isa 45:2 NASB) "I will go before you and make the rough places smooth; I will shatter the doors of bronze, and cut through their iron bars.

5. It is a place of release of Treasures and Blessings

(Isa 45:3 NASB) "And I will give you the treasures of darkness, And hidden wealth of secret places, In order that you may know that it is I, The LORD, the God of Israel, who calls you by your name.

6. It is a place of Protection

He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust: his truth shall be thy shield and buckler.

Psalms 91:4 KJV

Then Proverbs 18:10 says

The name of the Lord is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe.

Proverbs 18:10 KJV

7. It is a place of Peace and Calm

Psalm 91:5-6 says

Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day;

Nor for the pestilence that walketh in darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday.

Psalms 91:5-6

Father, every pestilence ravaging the world today, take far away from us in the mighty name of Jesus

My father, my father, every sickness, rendering the woled helpless, destroy in the mighty name of Jesus

Father, every evil circle of sickness and pestilences, bring to an end in the might name of Jesus

Father. I hide myself, my family and loved ones in your secret place in the name of Jesus.

Psalms 23:5 David testified thou prwpreth a table before me in the presence of mine enemies

Father, render every power of the enemies of my life powerless in the mighty name of Jesus.

CONCLUSION

Psalms 91 is a a psalm of conditional promises of God. If you read it clearly you find out that it not for everybody. It is for those who will dwell in the presence of God.
