Summary: Surrender to the plans of God even if it is tough, being close to God and obeying Him is more important than other comforts which would eventually follow the faithful and obedient and steadfast follower.

Jeremiah 40:1"He had found Jeremiah bound in chains among all the captives from Jerusalem and Judah who were being carried into exile to Babylon."

Not an ordinary person but Nebuzaradan, commander of the imperial guard of Babylon found Prophet Jeremiah "bound in chains among the captives", befuddled about what I actually read, I kept reading the verses again and again. 'Bound in chains among the captives!' The man who spoke with God, who obeyed God wholeheartedly, who served God faithfully, the man who boldly spoke the Word of God even to kings was bound by chains. Listen carefully today to what God has to tell you!

Don't get bamboozled to think that you can create a cool heaven on earth with stress-free, problem-free, hassle-free life with no troubles, inconveniences and disturbances??? There is no peace outside the zone of God! God had a purpose in keeping His prophet Jeremiah bound in chains among the captives, Jeremiah did not complain, he accepted the plans of God. Do you want to know what happened?? Jeremiah was freed from the chains to go wherever he wanted, God does not forget His faithful servants.

Not many read the book of Jeremiah, which they feel is tough; however, God spoke to me this entire week through this book. Glory to Jesus!

Sufferings is part of our Christian life, we cannot escape from it, we have great learning through it though. When we relocated to Hyderabad as per God' s command, do not think everything was hunky-dory, it was nightmare. We did not have money to buy milk or vegetables, it was bare minimum most of the days.

We preached weekend in a particular place, the sister who invited us would give us offering. She used a pencil to write a figure on the offering cover, rub it and then again rub...Finally a small amount would be given with which we would buy vegetables and fruits on the way from a market for our children. Life was extremely tough, but God wonderfully guided us through it all. Even today when we happen to pass that market, we remember our days of struggle. Little did we imagine that we would start our own School for the poor and feed enormous number of children daily with good food.

Surrender to the plans of God even if it is tough, being close to God and obeying Him is more important than other comforts which would eventually follow the faithful and obedient and steadfast follower.
