Summary: Isaac was no coward to run away because of opposition, though humble and obedient, he also had a steely determination to stick to his work and succeed.
DUG AGAIN – Part 3
Genesis 26:18”Then Isaac dug again the wells of water which had been dug in the days of his father Abraham, for the Philistines had stopped them up after the death of Abraham; and he gave them the same names which his father had given them.”
When God opens a door for you, none can close it! Revelations 3:7 “He who opens and no one will shut, and who shuts and no one opens.” Hallelujah!
Though there was famine, the foolish Philistines closed the wells that had profuse water inside them because of their enmity and envy with Isaac. The devil is out to ‘CLOSE’ you forever but fear not, God is working on your behalf. He wants close your marriage, business, relationships and career, but don’t quit, keep moving ahead.
Isaac was no coward to run away because of opposition, though humble and obedient, he also had a steely determination to stick to his work and succeed. Hey friend, if you want to succeed, you also need to have the skills to confront opposition gracefully, stay firm and not run away. With success comes enemies too, mark that! With each new project that God gave us, initially it was not easy at all, many times, the opposition was very brutal and scary; however, with prayers we kept moving and God has been very faithful to us.
Stones were thrown through the windows of our Abide Angel Home when we moved into the home with girls, I was sleeping with them and I was very scared too, those were glass doors and we closed them tight but we did not run away. We still survive, the enemy cannot throw you away by force unless you scoot with fear.
Same with our Shiloh Revival Church, when we moved into a particular area infested with huge gigantic temples and idols, we faced innumerable problems from inside and outside the church. At one particular point, everybody left us but my husband and I would stay in the church and pray ceaselessly. Many people had approached the owner of the building to evict us because they said we (Christian church) would bring curses to their business; however, the owner had very good relationship with us, which is God’s grace on us.
Today, during this pandemic lockdown situation, our Shiloh Revival Church is functioning right from 5.30 am everyday with prayer, we have daily online evening service, monthly night prayer and lot more. Therefore, do not get ruffled at the initial problems that you might face, keep digging and digging until you find water. Glory to Jesus!
Isaac succeeded not because of his charismatic looks, height or valor; he had the favor of God over him because of his obedience and intimate relationship with God. It is not about your astute brains and brilliance that you would succeed like Bill Gates who lost his sheen and glory because of his immoral behavior but I am talking about prosperity that you receive from fear of God. Hosanna!
