On occasions life’s events have interruptions which can change our daily rhythm into a new tempo. Think about a phone call in the middle of the night places us in a sense of urgency or even a unexpected illness, death or trouble can all serve as a change of seasons or even a change of pace. Just as well as a promotion, birthday, marriage, reunion can also affect our rhythm and tempo in our lives. Nevertheless of the changes good or bad we have to realize that throughout the Word of God the people of God faced changes throughout their journey but they never let go of their belief in God. For instance they face captivity, slavery, wondering in the wilderness and loss of homeland. Yet understand that in the book of Ecclesiastes 3:1 To everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven. God has a purpose and a plan for everyone therefore we are walking in our SEASON. Let look at in a different way year after year we go through seasons changing and in those changes we have notice that sometime we cannot tell the Winter from the Spring nor the Summer from the Fall. There are times we the meteorologist will forecast that we will have rain but end up with snow or a hot sunny day. In actions like these God is showing us that he is still in control of the changing of the seasons but it is up to each us to allow him full control of our lives. It is clear that in order to reap everlasting life there are some requirements that we as believers are obligated to fulfill. For we have to understand that our existence of life is between birth and death. Now in this particular scripture it is clear that Paul is warning us not to compare ourselves one to another. It is important that we be concern to fulfilling unto the plan that God has intended for each of us. Nevertheless we must get the full picture of the Seasons that God has ordered for his children. Furthermore in James 3:18 And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace. What this verse is saying regarding walking into your season is that we have to posse PEACE within our hearts and minds and understand that with God on our side that nothing can waiver us from his ultimate plan. As Paul stated in Galatians 5:16 I say then: walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. Which means that as we travel this life journey and our seasons are going to change but we have to hold tight to the Spirit of God within us; it is in that very Spirit that we are to walk in and be led by is when we are overcomers in Christ Jesus. Now the points within this message today
1. Sowing and Reaping – Galatians 6:6-7
2. Everlasting Benefits – Galatians 6:8-9
3. Walking in your Season – Galatians 5:18
4. Baptized in the Holy Ghost – Joel 2:28-29
As we progress in our Christian walk considering that it is a must to Sow into the will of God in our daily walk. Say to your neighbor it is time to for us to begin reaping.
When you think of Sowing and Reaping look at as the changing of the seasons Fall to Winter, Winter to Spring, Spring to Summer and Summer to Fall. Think about it there are significant indicators that seasons are changing by the changing of the leaves. God gives us an understanding of his process when he needs to make a change in our lives. In the Galatians 6:6-7 Let him that is taught in the word communicate unto him that teacheth in all good things.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. It is imperative that we identify the process of how we sow affects how we reap. Allow me to expound on this when we sow in sin we reap temporary results therefore when we sow spiritually we reap plentifully. Just as the same as when we reap in faith we sow in faith which is bringing forth Good Fruit for our Lord. Take a moment and look around at the communities, the schools, the legislation, the cities and what do you see. Do you see plentiful harvest in the area or do you see a Spiritual Stronghold in the area. Now here is where we as God’s people take ownership just as Paul states in
2 Corinthians 1:21-22
Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come. Therefore in this OWNERSHIP we have to understand that Jesus withstood in afflictions with great patience and Compassion. Such is required of each of us today in the midst of it all, in the midst of the bad times, in the midst of the sorrowful times, in the midst of the painful times, in the midst of any storms, in the midst of troubles and even in the midst of the good times we are to posse patience and prayer the fervent Prayer. So look around you and start sowing spiritually in your communities, school, legislation, and cities praying over it all in the NAME OF JESUS is when the oppressions in the land will begin to change to successes. Also understand that Paul even teaches in 2 Corinthians 11:23 Are they ministers of Christ? (I speak as a fool) I am more; in labours more abundant, in stripes above measure, in prisons more frequent, in deaths oft. which mean that the roughness of the hands of a dedicated worker for the Lord will be like the hands of a field worker. Nevertheless it is honorable as we sow the benefits reaped. We have to understand the God knows exactly what we are sowing therefore don’t be an imitator strive always be a benefactor for the Lord.
