Summary: Drink More Water

Drink More Water

john 4:10 Jesus answered and said unto her, If thou knewest the gift of God, and who it is that saith to thee, Give me to drink; thou wouldest have asked of him, and he would have given thee living water.

11 The woman saith unto him, Sir, thou hast nothing to draw with, and the well is deep: from whence then hast thou that living water?

12 Art thou greater than our father Jacob, which gave us the well, and drank thereof himself, and his children, and his cattle?

13 Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again:

14 But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.

Civilization has historically flourished around rivers and major waterways; Mesopotamia, the so-called cradle of civilization, was situated between the major rivers Tigris and Euphrates.

Large metropolises like London, Montreal, Paris, New York City, Shanghai, Tokyo, and Chicago owe their success in part to their easy accessibility via water and the resultant expansion of trade.

Where there is water, all aspects of life flourishes, you cant do without water in your life.

Every one of us has a mechanism in the natural called thirst.

Thirst is present because 66% of the Human body is made up from water and that balance must be maintained.

And very early in life we realize a truth, You can’t drink dirt or sand or even oil!

You’ve got to drink water

In order to maintain the water levels in the body there is a mechanism called thirst and it is thirst that instinctively keeps us from getting dehydrated. It’s a “built-in” safeguard. It’s automatic.

If the percentage of water goes down just 2% to 64.7% you are considered dehydrated and dehydration is a very dangerous condition

Dehydration generally results in delirium, unconsciousness, and in extreme cases death.

you experience thirst and discomfort, possibly along with loss of appetite and dry skin. you may suffer a loss of performance of up to 50%, and experience flushing, low endurance, rapid heart rates, elevated body temperatures, and rapid onset of fatigue.

It can be a very dangerous thing for a person to allow themselves to become dehydrated even 2%, so we regularly quench this thirst, most times without even realizing it.

The body does some things naturally, and being thirsty is one of those things because it never wants to get to that 2% mark

Having a God-breathed soul, humanity has a basic “thirst” for God. It was implanted by Him. It’s also automatic.

Psa 65:9 Thou visitest the earth, and waterest it: thou greatly enrichest it with the river of God, which is full of water: thou preparest them corn, when thou hast so provided for it.

But many times people in there seeking to quench there natural spiritual thirst fail to realize its just simple water that they need and they drink of things that don’t satisfy

Far too many persist in putting off satisfying this basic thirst for God, while others attempt to satisfy it with unclean “waters”, things that don’t satisfy and they allow themselves to go down just 2% into spiritual dehydration.

The scriptures declare in Isaiah 12:3 that with joy we draw waters from the wells of salvation and that salvation spoken of in Isaiah 12 is Christ

Many times people look for satisfaction in all the wrong places Isaiah speaks of things that satisfy not

1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.

2 Wherefore do ye spend money for that which is not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye that which is good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.

Isa 55:1-2 KJV

There is a built in mechanism of spiritual thirst inside of us that’s thirsts for the waters of God that are not going to be satisfied by anything else, but like as in the natural, if the spiritual thirst is not satisfied we can begin to get symptoms of spiritual dehydration

If that basic thirst is not instinctively satisfied, a thirst that goes beyond our instinctive drive will develop and if that thirst is still not satisfied eventually we will develop some of the deeper symptoms of dehydration

Thirst is a funny thing, when our mouth gets dry, our body lets us know that something is amiss, and our thoughts will turn to and focus upon satisfying the thirst and that alone!

The only drink that has no side effects is water, coffee has caffeine, soda has sugar, beer has alcohol, juices have acids, and can build up toxins in your system but clean pure water has no toxins and will actually help flush impurities from your bodies.
