Summary: Many times I have not been thankful for my feet and all the abuse I have put them through, and usually I don’t give them a second thought till they start hurting!

My feet have carried me to baptisms, weddings, and funerals, to work, to leisure. They have been both hot and cold, wet and dry, stepped on, walked on, turned, and twisted and worn out.

And yet many times I have not been thankful for my feet and all the abuse I have put them through, and usually I don’t give them a second thought till they start hurting!

Isaiah 52:7-How beautiful upon the mountains Are the feet of him who brings good news, Who proclaims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation, Who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!”

Not, “How beautiful is the messenger.” or, “How beautiful is the message.” But, “How beautiful on the mountain are the feet of those who bring good news.”

Jesus’ feet took Him to the river to be baptized, and the to the wilderness to be tempted, to a wedding to turn water into wine, to the sea shore and market place, to gather disciples, to the temple, to the mountain side, to peoples homes, on dusty roads, in villages to preach the word, heal the sick, raise the dead, then those tired feet took Him all the way to Golgotha.

Matthew 28:9-And as they went to tell His disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, “Rejoice!” So they came and held Him by the feet and worshiped Him.

It wasn’t his healing hands they touched or his teaching lips. Instead, it was those same ruined tired feet that had carried him to them from Galilee to Jerusalem, and all the way up to Calvary.

AT JESUS’ FEET:

It Is A Place Of Healing.

Matthew 15:30-31-Then great multitudes came to Him, having with them the lame, blind, mute, maimed, and many others; and they laid them down at Jesus’ feet, and He healed them.

So the multitude marveled when they saw the mute speaking, the maimed made whole, the lame walking, and the blind seeing; and they glorified the God of Israel.

It Is A Place Of Prayer.

Mark 5:22-24-And behold, one of the rulers of the synagogue came, Jairus by name. And when he saw Him, he fell at His feet

and begged Him earnestly, saying, “My little daughter lies at the point of death. Come and lay Your hands on her, that she may be healed, and she will live.”

So Jesus went with him, and a great multitude followed Him and thronged Him.

It Is A Place Of Learning.

Luke 10:38-39-Now it happened as they went that He entered a certain village; and a certain woman named Martha welcomed Him into her house.

And she had a sister called Mary, who also sat at Jesus’ feet and heard His word.

It Is A Place Of Pardon.

Luke 7:38-and stood at His feet behind Him weeping; and she began to wash His feet with her tears, and wiped them with the hair of her head; and she kissed His feet and anointed them with the fragrant oil.

Those feet had once been Adored by his mother (Count His Toes – Tickle His feet). Is now being Adorned by the anointing oil of a another Mary!

It Is A Place Of Thanksgiving.

Luke 17:16-19-and fell down on his face at His feet, giving Him thanks. And he was a Samaritan.

So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine?

Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?”

And He said to him, “Arise, go your way. Your faith has made you well.”

It is A Place Of Rest.

Luke 8:35-Then they went out to see what had happened, and came to Jesus, and found the man from whom the demons had departed, sitting at the feet of Jesus, clothed and in his right mind. And they were afraid.

It Is A Place Of Comfort.

John 11:32-Then, when Mary came where Jesus was, and saw Him, she fell down at His feet, saying to Him, “Lord, if You had been here, my brother would not have died.”

It Is A Place Of Worship.

Revelation 1:17-18-And when I saw Him, I fell at His feet as dead. But He laid His right hand on me, saying to me, “Do not be afraid; I am the First and the Last.

I am He who lives, and was dead, and behold, I am alive forevermore. Amen. And I have the keys of Hades and of Death.

Make your place at the feet of Jesus often and you will find renewed strength for your life and everything you need no matter what situations arise in your life!

Stay at Jesus feet and you will be everything that God wants you to be as a child of God.
