Psalm 150:1-6 (KJV) Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his

sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power.

[2] Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his

excellent greatness.

[3] Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the

psaltery and harp.

[4] Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed

instruments and organs.

[5] Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high

sounding cymbals.

[6] Let every thing that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the

Lord.

TOPIC- DON`T LET NOTHING OR NOBODY

KEEP YOU FROM GETTING YOUR PRAISE ON

WE ARE LIVING IN A DAY AND TIME WHERE SOME

FOLKS WILL TRY TO HINDER YOU FROM GETTING YOUR

PRAISE ON

AND THERE ARE SOME TIMES IN LIFE WHERE WE FIND

OURSELVES IN CERTAIN SITUATION

AND WE LET OUR SITUATIONS KEEP US FROM GETTING

OUR PRAISE ON

BUT WE NEED TO REALIZE THAT OUR BREAK THROUGH

IS IN OUR PRAISE

AND IF PAUL AND SILAS WAS HERE THEY WOULD TELL

YOU THAT THEY WAS DOWN THERE IN THAT PHILLIPIAN

JAIL CELL

AND WHEN PAUL STARTED PRAYING AND SILAS

STARTED SINGING -- GOD STARTED MOVING

NOW I NEED TO TELL YOU I GOT A PROBLEM WITH

PEOPLE WHO COMES TO GOD`S HOUSE WITH ROCKS IN

THERE JAWS

WALK IN MAD

SIT DOWN MAD

WHEN THE DEACONS IS PRAYING THERE MAD

WHEN THE CHOIR IS SINGING THERE MAD

WHEN THE PRAISE DANCERS DANCING THERE MAD

AND SOME OF THEM WILL HAVE THE NERVES TO SAY

THAT IT DON`T TAKE ALL THAT

BUT I DISCOVERED THAT THESE SAME ONE`S THAT

WON`T GIVE GOD SOME PRAISE

THAT IF YOU CATCH THEM OUT AT ANNIE JANE OR THE

CABBAGE PATCH YOU CAN`T KEEP`EM OFF THE DANCE

FLOOR

AND THE FRIST THING THEY BLAME IT ON IS THAT THEY

HAD TO MUCH WINE

BUT PREACH BROTHER PAUL TOLD THE CHURCH AT

EPHEPHSUS. 5:18 (KJV) And be not drunk with wine, wherein

is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

AND WHEN YOU GET FILLED WITH THE SPRIT YOU

DON`T MIND GETTING YOUR PRAISE ON

BECAUSE WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT HOW GOOD GOD

HAS BEEN TO YOU

HOW HE`S BEEN YOUR BRIDGE OVER TROUBLED WATER

WHEN YOU THINK ABOUT HOW HE TURNED YOUR

BURNING FURNACE INTO A FELLOWSHIP HALL

HOW HE DELIVERED YOU IN THE LIONS DEN

AND MADE A FREEWAY THROUGH YOUR RED SEA

YOU OUGHT TO GET SOME CLAPPING IN YOUR HANDS

YOU OUGHT TO GET SOME RUNNING IN YOUR FEET AND

SOME SHOUTING IN YOUR SPRIT

AND LET NOTHING OR NOBODY KEEP YOU FROM

GETTING YOUR PRAISE ON

BUT AS WE EXAMINE 150TH

NUMBERS OF

PSALMS

THE PSALMIST MENTIONS TWO SPHERES WHERE GOD IS

TO BE PRAISE

ONE BELOW, THE OTHER ABOVE

ONE ON EARTH AND ONE IN HEAVEN

AND Praise is giving thanks to God for who he is.

Praise is saying -thank you -for each aspect of his divine nature.

Our inward attitude becomes outward expression.

AND When we praise God, we help ourself by expanding our

awareness of who he is

AND the 150th

number of psalms show us what, where, why,

how and, who should praise God.

1

ST POINT --LETS LOOK AT What praises do

(1) Praise takes our minds off our problems and shortcomings and

focuses them on God.

(2) Praise leads us from individual meditation to corporate

worship.

(3) Praise causes us to consider and appreciate God's character.

(4) Praise lifts our perspective from the earthly to the heavenly.

AND IF I COULD BE HONEST WITH YOU RIGHT NOW

IT`S SOMEONE HERE UNDER THE SOUND OF MY WEAK

VOICE

THAT’S IN THE MIDIST OF A STORM RIGHT NOW

AND YOU`RE WAITING FOR YOUR BREAKTHROUGH

BUT YOU HAVE FAILED TO REALIZE THAT YOUR

BREAKTHROUGH IS IN YOUR PRAISE

2

nd POINT-- WHERE WE SHOULD PRAISE GOD

the psalmist called for praise to be given in the sanctuary the

earthly and the heavenly

firmament of his power—which illustrates His Glorious power.

EVERYWHERE YOU GO YOU OUGHT TO GIVE GOD

SOME PRAISE

3

rd

-POINT-WHY WE SHOULD PRAISE HIM

FOR THE WORKS OF HIS POWER AND ALL THE

INSTANCE OF HIS MIGHT

WE SHOULD PRAISE HIM FOR THE POWER OF HIS

PROVIDENCE,

THE POWER OF HIS GRACE---FOR WHAT HE HAS DONE IN

CREATION AND FOR THE GLORY AND MAJESTY OF HIS

BEING

IN OTHER WORDS IF THE LORD HAS EVER

DONE ANYTHING FOR YOU

YOU OUGHT TO GIVE HIM SOME PRAISE

IF YOU KNOW HIM AS A DOCTOR IN THE SICK ROOM

A LAWYER IN THE COURT ROOM

A COUNSELOR IN THE BREAVEMENT ROOM

IF HE`S BEEN A BRIDGE OVER TROUBLE WATER

A LEANING POST YOU CAN LEAN ON

A PILLOW YOU CAN CRY ON

YOU OUGHT TO GIVE GOD SOME PRAISE
