Put Your Trust In The Lord

But know that the LORD has set apart for Himself him who is godly; The LORD will hear when I call to Him. Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed, and be still. Selah Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, And put your trust in the LORD. Psalm 4:3-5

For His trusting ones, the Lord God remains a refuge for the oppressed; a refuge in times of trouble. Those who know His name will put their trust in Him for He doesn’t forsake those who seek Him but rewards them according to their righteousness, according to the cleanness of their hands. Yes, He, who is a shield to all who trust in Him, measures the appropriate measure to each person. His word is unchanging:

With the merciful You will show Yourself merciful; With a blameless man You will show Yourself blameless; With the pure You will show Yourself pure; And with the devious You will show Yourself shrewd. For You will save the humble people, But will bring down haughty looks. For You will light my lamp; The LORD my God will enlighten my darkness. For by You I can run against a troop, By my God I can leap over a wall. As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the LORD is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him. Psalm 18:25-30

Now I know that the LORD saves His anointed; He will answer him from His holy heaven With the saving strength of His right hand. Some trust in chariots, and some in horses; But we will remember the name of the LORD our God. Psalm 20:6-7

Jesus Christ who has borne our griefs and carried our sorrows, was Himself stricken, smitten by God, and afflicted, does not despise nor abhor the affliction of the afflicted! And as the LORD He will save His anointed ones. He will answer him from His holy heaven with the saving strength of His right hand. Those who trust in the Lord shall see His goodness in the land of the living in the current time of life and not just in heaven. Weeping may endure for a night but joy comes in the morning. Their times are in God’s hand and He will deliver them from the hand of their enemies and from those who persecute them. Many sorrows shall be to the wicked; but he who trusts in the LORD, mercy shall surround him. The Lord performs all things for the righteous and He shall send help from heaven and save them for He is the strength of their heart and their portion forever. God’s word is unchanging:

No king is saved by the multitude of an army; A mighty man is not delivered by great strength. A horse is a vain hope for safety; Neither shall it deliver any by its great strength. Behold, the eye of the LORD is on those who fear Him, On those who hope in His mercy, To deliver their soul from death, And to keep them alive in famine. Our soul waits for the LORD; He is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in Him, Because we have trusted in His holy name. Psalm 33:16-21

For those blessed by Him shall inherit the earth, But those cursed by Him shall be cut off. The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand. I have been young, and now am old; Yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, Nor his descendants begging bread. He is ever merciful, and lends; And his descendants are blessed. Psalm 37:22-26

’I said to the boastful, ’Do not deal boastfully,’ And to the wicked, ’Do not lift up the horn. Do not lift up your horn on high; Do not speak with a stiff neck.’ " For exaltation comes neither from the east Nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, And exalts another. For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, And the wine is red; It is fully mixed, and He pours it out; Surely its dregs shall all the wicked of the earth Drain and drink down. Psalm 75:4-8

The Heavens are full of the Majesty of the Lord. The earth is His footstool and the Firmament between is His handy work. The Presence of the Lord is in all places at all times. There is nothing that happens that is missed by Him for He sees and knows all things, even the evil cruel things men do are before His eyes. He is above all that men do and He allows it for his purposes and the achievement of His desires. He has been man free choice and that choice is to choose for or against Him. The consequences of those choices must be paid. The bill comes due and must be repaid. The jury’s verdict must come in and justice served. That is the way God has established the spiritual laws on the earth.
