“Blessed be the LORD, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant” (I Kings 8:56, King James Version, KJV [REST: Solomon's blessing]).
“Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his
rest, any of you should seem to come short of it” (Hebrews 4:1, KJV
[The Christians' rest].
“Is his mercy clean gone for ever? His promise fail for evermore” (Psalms 77:8, KJV [MERCY: God's great works]?
“And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high” (St. Luke 24:49, KJV [Christ's ascension to heaven].
“For I will pour water upon him that is thirsty, and floods upon the dry ground:
I will pour my spirit upon thy seed, and my blessing upon thine offspring:”
(Isaiah 44:3, KJV[God comforteth the church].
“And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all
flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your old men shall
dream dreams, your young men shall see visions” (Joel 2:28, KJV
[God's Judgments]):
“And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they
should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father,
which, saith he, ye have heard of me” (Acts 1:4, KJV [Christ's ascension]).
“Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in
the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive
the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your
children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God
shall call” (Acts 2:38-39, KJV [HOLY GHOST: Many are converted]).
“In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the
gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye
were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise ...That at that time ye were
without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and
strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without
God in the world: ...Honour thy father and mother; which is the first
commandment with promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou
mayest live long on the earth” (Ephesians 1:13, 2:12; 6:2-3,KJV
[LONG LIFE: By grace are ye saved]).

“And now I stand and am judged for the hope of the promise made of
God unto our fathers: Unto which promise our twelve tribes, instantly
serving God day and night, hope to come. For which hope's sake,
king Agrippa, I am accused of the Jews” (Acts 26:6-7, KJV [His
defence before Agrippa]).
“For the promise, that he should be heir of the world, was not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law, but through the righteousness of faith. For if they which are of the law be heirs, faith is made void, and the promise made of none effect: Because the law worketh wrath: for where no law is, there is no transgression. Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all, … He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God” (Romans 4:13-16, 20; John 3:16, KJV [CHRIST JESUS, HEIR OF THE WORLD: Abraham justified by faith]);
“Who are Israelites; to whom pertaineth the adoption, and the glory,
and the covenants, and the giving of the law, and the service of God,
and the promises; … That is, They which are the children of the
flesh, these are not the children of God: but the children of the
promise are counted for the seed. For this is the word of promise,
At this time will I come, and Sarah shall have a son” (Romans 9:
4, 8-9, KJV [Paul's sorrow for the Jews]).
“Now we, brethren, as Isaac was, are the children of promise”
(Galatians 4:28, KJV [Christ freeth us from the law]).
“Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law” (Galatians 3:21, KJV [All believers are justified]).
