Don't Be A Liar In The Kingdom Of God

Acts 5:1-11 King James Version (KJV)

5 But a certain man named Ananias, with Sapphira his wife, sold a possession,

2 And kept back part of the price, his wife also being privy to it, and brought a certain part, and laid it at the apostles' feet.

3 But Peter said, Ananias, why hath Satan filled thine heart to lie to the Holy Ghost, and to keep back part of the price of the land?

4 Whiles it remained, was it not thine own? and after it was sold, was it not in thine own power? why hast thou conceived this thing in thine heart? thou hast not lied unto men, but unto God.

5 And Ananias hearing these words fell down, and gave up the ghost: and great fear came on all them that heard these things.

6 And the young men arose, wound him up, and carried him out, and buried him.

7 And it was about the space of three hours after, when his wife, not knowing what was done, came in.

8 And Peter answered unto her, Tell me whether ye sold the land for so much? And she said, Yea, for so much.

9 Then Peter said unto her, How is it that ye have agreed together to tempt the Spirit of the Lord? behold, the feet of them which have buried thy husband are at the door, and shall carry thee out.

10 Then fell she down straightway at his feet, and yielded up the ghost: and the young men came in, and found her dead, and, carrying her forth, buried her by her husband.

11 And great fear came upon all the church, and upon as many as heard these things.

Beloved, please know that there is no point to lie. Also know that there is no point to do a particular thing because all or others are doing it or have done it. Be yourself.

Beloved, if you know you can't give don't force it. Let the giving come from your heart. When you had a possessor mindset you were living and was good though it's a wrong mindset in the Kingdom. God has His own dealings with you regarding that.

Having a caretaker mindset is not a force. Don't try to act it. God is Omniscient and Omnipresent, He knows all things and is everywhere at the same time.

He knows whether you are acting or telling the truth. Why lie to the Spirit of God to please others?

Beloved in your mindset and actions be genuine with God and live happily. God moves people to give and such people give freely without stress.

Don't be an Ananias or a Sapphira be genuine and straight forward with God. He always knows what you can give and what you can't so be truthful and give what you can and leave what you cannot.

The Spirit of the Lord who is the Spirit of truth might not strike you like Ananias and Sapphira to death instantly or even for later but don't lie. He hates lies. Just be truthful and genuine in your dealings with the Kingdom of God and in your quest to support and push the Kingdom Agenda.

*IT'S ALL ABOUT JESUS* and no one else. If you are doing it all to please Jesus, you would be naturally truthful and would give freely but if you want to please man or want to gain respect and honour through your giving (self sought for fans and glory), you will by all means offend the Spirit of God in the process.

Be real and true beloved, be truthful and wise in all your dealings especially when it comes to Precious Holy Spirit.

Prayer: Father please help me do what I can and that which you have ordained me to. May I not look at others to do what I think would please you but listen and follow the leading of your Spirit. In the mighty name of Jesus I pray. Amen.
