Don't Assume to Assume

James 5:12 But above all things, my brethern, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and let yout nay be nay lest thou fall into condemnation.

1. to take for granted or without proof.

ASSUME – The biggest trick the devil plays on God's children is assumption.

Assuming what people think.

Assuming somethings wrong.

Assuming things are just the way they are and nothing will ever change.

2 Timothy 3:3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,

Revelation 12:10 And I heard a loud voice saying in heaven, Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night.

Don't let your mind go there when:

1. Sin in your life.

2. Hanging with ungodly people.

3. Emotional.

4. Medicated.

5. Not in the Spirit.

WE MUST SEE PEOPLE THE WAY GOD SEE'S THEM

Psalm 103:11 For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him.

12 As far as the East is from the West, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.

Compassion

1 Peter 3:8 Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethern, be pitiful, be courteus.

Matthew 9:36.. when he saw the multitude he was moved with compassion.

Matthew 14:14 moved with compassion

Matthew15:32... I have compassion on the multitude.

Matthew 20:34 Jeses had compassion on them and touched their eyes.

Mark 1:41 Jesus moved with compassion out forth his hand and touched him

Mark 6:34... he was moved with compassion because they were as sheep not haiving a shepherd

To ASSUME

Psalm 18:37

I have pursued mine enemies, and overtaken them: neither did I turn again till they were consumed.

Matthew 28:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

19 Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

20 Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
