Do You Like Free Gifts?

Summary: “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him” (2 Corinthians 5:21).
I. Todays message will be one focusing on 2 Corinthians 5:21
a. Do you like getting free gifts?
b. Many people would answer yes to this question. Not too many people would refuse a free gift. People would not turn down a free gift because it is free.
c. God gave you and I a free gift that will last forever.
II. What gift is this?
a. God gave us his Son to save us from our sins. God did not have to do this, he did this because he loves us.
b. So because God did not have to give us his Son but he did, this is considered a gift from God.
c. God' gift is name Jesus Christ, who was the same man that died on the cross for you and I. So that you and I may have a chance at eternal life one day.
III. How do I get this gift from God?
a. One must accept God into their hearts.
b. Believe that God sent his one and only Son to die for our sins, and on the third day he rose with all power in his hands.
c. Confess with your mouth that you are a sinner, and believe in your heart that God has forgiven you for your sins!
IV. SALVATION CAN BE YOURS THIS DAY, NOW IT IS UP TO YOU TO ACCEPT!
