A. Do it for the least
"And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren,"
Done or "poieo" in Greek meaning:
1. to make or do
2. cast out, cause, commit, content, continue, deal
3. execute, exercise, fulfil, gain, give
Least or "elachistos" in Greek meaning:
1. least, very little, small
2. smallest
What does "least" mean:
1. A doer of the WORD
Matthew 12:49-50 (Amplified Bible)
And stretching out His hand toward [not only the twelve disciples but all] His adherents, He said, Here are My mother and My brothers.
For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother!
2. A little child
Matthew 18:5-6 (Amplified Bible)
And whoever receives and accepts and welcomes one little child like this for My sake and in My name receives and accepts and welcomes Me.
But whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in and acknowledge and cleave to Me to stumble and sin [that is, who entices him or hinders him in right conduct or thought], it would be better (more expedient and profitable or advantageous) for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be sunk in the depth of the sea.
3. Very small - a tongue - but holds the power of life and death
James 3:4 (Amplified Bible)
Likewise, look at the ships: though they are so great and are driven by rough winds, they are steered by a very small rudder wherever the impulse of the helmsman determines.
Proverbs 18:21 (Amplified Bible)
Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and they who indulge in it shall eat the fruit of it [for death or life].
Matthew 12:37 (Amplified Bible)
For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced.
Every very small, insignificant, unimportant people that comes in and out of your life, do good to them, these people are sent your way for a purpose for you to become a blessing unto them.
Genesis 12:2 (Amplified Bible)
And I will make of you a great nation, and I will bless you [with abundant increase of favors] and make your name famous and distinguished, and you will be a blessing [dispensing good to others].
B. You've done it to the LORD
"ye have done it unto me"
Acts 9:4-5 (Amplified Bible)
And he fell to the ground. Then he heard a voice saying to him, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me [harassing, troubling, and molesting Me]?
And Saul said, Who are You, Lord? And He said, I am Jesus, Whom you are persecuting. It is dangerous and it will turn out badly for you to keep kicking against the goad [to offer vain and perilous resistance].
Ephesians 5:30 (Amplified Bible)
Because we are members (parts) of His body.
Want to bless the LORD today? or in your daily life, bless the least (unimportant, insignificant, very small in quantity/quality/dignity) and do good to them. You have done it to the LORD not unto men.
Ephesians 6:6-7 (Amplified Bible)
Not in the way of eye-service [as if they were watching you] and only to please men, but as servants (slaves) of Christ, doing the will of God heartily and with your whole soul;
