DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR NEEDS BECAUSE WE HAVE A GOD WHO IS OUR PROVIDER
**********************************************************************
1. WE SHOULD NOT WORRY ABOUT OUR NEEDS . INSTEAD WE SHOULD HAVE FAITH IN GOD OUR PROVIDER . IN TIMES OF NEED AND DIFFICULTY WE SHOULD BE STRONG IN FAITH EXPECTING A MIRACLE FROM GOD . DOUBT ,UNBELIEF ,FEAR AND WORRY WILL ONLY HINDER US FROM RECEIVING GOD’S PROVISION.
"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life? "And why do you worry about clothes? See how the lilies of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you, O you of little faith? So do not worry, saying, ’What shall we eat?’ or ’What shall we drink?’ or ’What shall we wear?’ For the pagans run after all these things, and your heavenly Father knows that you need them. But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own." Matthew 6 :25-34
"Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see." Hebrews 11:1
"And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him. " Hebrews 11:6
"But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; " James 1 :6-7
"The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!" Luke 17 :5
2. WE SHOULD WORK HARD AND LABOUR WITH ALL OUR MIGHT . THE LORD WILL BLESS THE LABOUR OF OUR HANDS AND PROSPER US AND MEET ALL OUR NEEDS. THERE IS NO PROMISE OF BLESSING TO THOSE WHO ARE LAZY . WE SHOULD NOT BE LAZY AND EXPECT OTHERS TO HELP US. THE LORD HAS NOT COMMANDED ANYONE TO HELP THOSE WHO ARE LAZY AND WANT TO BE A BURDEN TO OTHERS.
" Lazy hands make a man poor, but diligent hands bring wealth." Proverbs 10:4
" The sluggard craves and gets nothing, but the desires of the diligent are fully satisfied. " Proverbs 13:4
" A sluggard does not plow in season; so at harvest time he looks but finds nothing. " Proverbs 20:4
" The sluggard’s craving will be the death of him, because his hands refuse to work. " Proverbs 21:25
"For even when we were with you, we gave you this rule: "If a man will not work, he shall not eat." II Thessalonians 3:10
"Make it your ambition to lead a quiet life, to mind your own business and to work with your hands, just as we told you, so that your daily life may win the respect of outsiders and so that you will not be dependent on anybody. " I Thessalonians 4:11-12
3. WE SHOULD GIVE GENEROUSLY TO GOD AND TO OTHERS IN NEED. THIS WILL CAUSE THE LORD TO OPEN THE WINDOWS OF HEAVEN AND POUR OUT HIS BLESSING ON US. GIVING IS LIKE SOWING AND WHEN WE SOW GENEROUSLY WE WILL RECEIVE AN ABUNDANT HARVEST. THERE IS A SPECIAL BLESSING TO THOSE WHO GIVE COMPASSIONATELY TO THE POOR AND THE NEEDY.
"Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." Luke 6 :38
""Will a man rob God? Yet you rob me."But you ask, ’How do we rob you?’ "In tithes and offerings. You are under a curse—the whole nation of you—because you are robbing me. Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the LORD Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that you will not have room enough for it. I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not cast their fruit," says the LORD Almighty. "Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the LORD Almighty. " Malachi 3 :8-12
