Summary: Christ requires unity in his body.
>>Divisions in the Church<<
1Co 3:3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men?
Here it shows that division is carnality. this is forbidden in the bible. We must be able to agree on the truth then apply it.
Joh 4:24
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.
Mat 12:25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
A Church that allows division will never stand before God. It will be destroyed. The body of Christ (the Church) will never turn in on its self.
Rom 16:17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.
Rom 16:18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.
Instead of making excuses for thoughts that refuse to line up to the word(or listening to them over and over) MARK THEM!! AVOID THEM!! lest ye learn there ways.
If you think you can't .you already have.
1Co 12:25 That there should be no schism in the body; but that the members should have the same care one for another.
Your opinion will separate you from God. Be open to fact. Anything that differs from the doctrine of the word in the manner it was written. To have love one for another.this is LAW and will be followed by the body.
schism- 1. In a general sense, division or separation; but appropriately, a division or separation in a church or denomination of Christians, occasioned by diversity of opinions; breach of unity among people of the same religious faith.(Webster)
Joh 10:16 And other sheep I have, which are not of this fold: them also I must bring, and they shall hear my voice; and there shall be one fold, and one shepherd.
Just because someone goes to a different Church, or is a different denomination than you don't disqualify them from the fold.
If you think it does maybe you have been disqualified.
Just because someone goes to your Church, or is of your denomination don't make them apart of his fold.
If you think it does maybe you have been disqualified.
Joh 17:21 That they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.
The only way for us to prove that Christ is living is to let him live through us.If we become as one we are one with him. If one with him then one with the Father.
1Co 1:10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.
As were parental judgment should be the same to make things go smoother in the home.
If one parent tell the child one thing the other tells it another this sends mixed signals to the child and should never be so.
This is the only way the power of God will be present in this body of Christ.
The only way to be joined is" perfectly joined". We must realize he is the head so the same mind here is his mind and the judgment is the same. Judgment comes from the head!!
