Divine Intervention for a Supernatural Conquest:

Study Text: Joshua 6: 1 - 7.

Introduction:

- There comes a time in everyone’s life when one is faced with what seems like an impossible task or situation. Such as:

1. Having a difficult task or responsibility to carry out.

2. Meeting a a great and urgent financial need.

3. Recovering from a deadly or life threatening illness.

4. Receiving deliverance from a serious demonic affliction.

5. Restoration of what the enemy has stolen, either in the physical or spiritual.

6. Striving to overcome a bondage of sinful habits, drug addiction towards a closer walk with God.

7. Struggling to be free from serious family troubles such as conflict between couples, stubborn and wayward children, etc.

- All these things could be exhausting and frustrating situations; all these things could be very difficult and seemingly impossible tasks.

- They can be described as a great wall or obstacle to overcome or to get around in your life. They could be a Jericho in your Life.

- In such situation, one needs Divine intervention for a supernatural conquest.

- We shall discuss the topic under three sub-headings:

1. The Picture of Supernatural Conquest.

2. The Promise of Supernatural Conquest.

3. The Prerequisites for Supernatural Conquest.

1. The Picture of Supernatural Conquest:

1. Supernatural Conquest happens when God takes over the battle and fights for you.

-. God took over the battle from Jehoshaphat. 2 Chronicles 20: 17 - 18.

2. Supernatural Conquest happens when the victory depends on God and not man.

-. David knew he was no match with Goliath, but trusted in God to defeat Goliath through him. 1 Samuel 17: 45 - 47.

3. Supernatural Conquest has marks and characteristics that make the whole world know clearly that it was God who fought for you and gave the victory.

- The Philistines testified about the Israelites that their God defeated the Egyptian for them. 1 Samuel 4: 8 - 9.

4. Supernatural Conquest happens when battles are won effortlessly, and when victories cannot be explained.

-. David was able to escape all assassinated attempts against him by King Saul. 1 Samuel 18: 11 - 12.

5. Supernatural Conquest happens when God turned around the wickedness done against you for your blessings.

-. Every act of wickedness against Joseph was a Divine step to the fulfillment of his dreams. Genesis 45: 3 - 8.

6. Supernatural Conquest happens when God makes your enemy to fall in the pit they dug for you.

-. Harman was hanged on a gallow he made for Mordecai. Esther 7: 9 - 10.

7. Supernatural Conquest happens when God suspends laws, protocols and traditions to attend to your case.

- Esther appeared before the king uninvited, and rather than being killed, she was greatly honoured. Esther 5: 1 - 3.

2. The Promise of Supernatural Conquest.

-. God promised His people through Joshua that He has given Jericho into their hands, even though the city was walled and the gate shut.

-. God is a promise keeper and a covenant keeping God. His words and promises are reliable and should be real to us more than the situation we are facing.

-. He told Joshua to see. We need the faith that can see the invisible before we can experience the impossible. Don't be moved by what you see naturally, rather be moved by what the word of God says.

-. His promises of Supernatural Conquest in diverse areas of our lives are many in the scriptures. We must search them out, receive and believe them, and without fail experience the fulfillment and manifestation of them.

- There are conditions attached to the fulfillment of all the promises of God. It is our responsibility to discover them and ensure that we fulfill our own part of the covenant.

-. Whenever it appears as if His promises failed, the problem is usually with man failing in his own part of the covenant. For example, when Achan sinned, God withdrew His support and protection from the Israelites. Joshua 7: 7 - 12.

-. The Bible is full of testimonies of faithful men and women who received the promises of God, fulfill their own parts of the covenant, and experience the performance of the promises in their lifetime.

-. God wants you to see the Supernatural Conquest He has designed for you through the light of His words, believe it and it shall come to pass in your life.

3. The Prerequisites for Supernatural Conquest.

- The Word of God promises that you will experience Supernatural Conquest, but there are things that must be done by everyone who wants to experience it:

1. Experience Supernatural Conquest by Walking in Righteousness.

-. The first step is to experience the new birth by receiving the free gift of salvation.
