INTRODUCTION:

Divine increase is God’s supernatural multiplication and enlargement in every area of our lives. It is not limited to material wealth but includes spiritual growth, wisdom, influence, fruitfulness, and favour. When God releases divine increase, what was once small becomes mighty, and what was once barren becomes abundantly fruitful. The Scriptures are filled with examples of people who experienced divine increase because of their faith, obedience, and alignment with God’s purpose.

Many people strive for increase through human effort alone, but divine increase transcends natural limitations. It is rooted in God’s covenant with His people. Psalm 115:14 says, “The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children.” This shows that divine increase is generational, continual, and abundant—it is God’s will for His children to thrive.

As we explore the keys and principles that bring about divine increase, it’s important to remember that the source of true increase is not man, connection, or intellect, but God. As 1 Corinthians 3:7 declares, “So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.”

1. GOD IS THE SOURCE OF INCREASE

a) God alone gives true increase:

Human efforts are important, but only God can make them fruitful (1 Corinthians 3:6-7).

b) Every good and perfect gift comes from above:

James 1:17 reminds us that divine blessings originate from the Father of lights.

c) Trusting in God attracts increase:

Those who rely on God and not on human systems are planted by living waters (Jeremiah 17:7-8).

d) When God blesses, no one can stop it:

God's blessings are irreversible and unstoppable (Numbers 23:20).

Biblical Example: Isaac sowed in a time of famine, yet reaped a hundredfold because the Lord blessed him (Genesis 26:12-14).

2. OBEDIENCE UNLOCKS DIVINE INCREASE

a) Obedience is the key to covenant blessings:

Deuteronomy 28:1-2 shows that blessings follow those who diligently obey God’s voice.

b) Partial obedience hinders growth:

Like King Saul, disobedience can lead to rejection and stagnation (1 Samuel 15:22-23).

c) Obedience provokes open heavens:

When you walk in God's ways, divine resources are released (Malachi 3:10).

d) Obedience positions you for miracles and multiplication:

As you obey God in faith, He multiplies your steps and efforts.

Biblical Example: Peter obeyed Jesus' instruction to cast the net, resulting in a miraculous catch (Luke 5:4-6).

3. FAITHFULNESS INVITES DIVINE INCREASE

a) God rewards faithfulness in small things:

Luke 16:10 shows that increase comes to those who are trustworthy with little.

b) Consistency builds capacity for more:

When you’re faithful with your time, talents, and treasure, God expands your territory.

c) Faithfulness attracts divine promotion:

Promotion comes from God who sees the heart and rewards diligence (Psalm 75:6-7).

d) Be faithful in service and stewardship:

When God sees your loyalty, He entrusts you with more.

Biblical Example: The faithful servant who multiplied his talents was rewarded with greater responsibilities (Matthew 25:20-23).

4. CONNECTION TO THE VINE GUARANTEES FRUITFULNESS

a) Christ is the true Vine:

Without Him, we can do nothing and produce no lasting fruit (John 15:5).

b) Abiding in Him sustains growth:

Continual fellowship with Jesus guarantees continuous increase.

c) The fruit of the Spirit is evidence of internal increase:

Spiritual growth begins within and results in outward fruit (Galatians 5:22-23).

d) Divine connection guarantees divine nourishment:

When you're connected to the Source, you’ll never run dry.

Biblical Example: Those who remained in the early church experienced spiritual and numerical increase daily (Acts 2:42-47).

5. DIVINE INCREASE IS FOR KINGDOM IMPACT

a) God blesses us to be a blessing to others:

Abraham was blessed so that all nations would be blessed through him (Genesis 12:2-3).

b) Increase is for the expansion of God’s kingdom:

Our growth should glorify God and promote His will on earth.

c) Prosperity with purpose prevents greed:

When you understand that increase is for kingdom purposes, you use it wisely (2 Corinthians 9:10-11).

d) Share generously and joyfully:

Giving opens the door for more increase and divine favour.

Biblical Example: The Shunammite woman used her increase to bless Elisha and was divinely rewarded (2 Kings 4:8-17).

CONCLUSION:

Divine increase is God’s agenda for your life. It is His desire to see you grow, multiply, and make lasting impact. However, this increase is not automatic—it is accessed through trust, obedience, faithfulness, and spiritual alignment with God's purpose. As you walk in covenant with Him, expect to see growth in every area of your life.

Never forget that God’s increase is not for selfish consumption but for kingdom advancement. He wants you to be a channel of blessing to others. May you experience divine enlargement in your health, family, finances, calling, and influence. The Lord shall increase you more and more, you and your children!
