Summary: No matter what you do, if there is recklessness, disorderliness and disobedience in your work and life - your life would be torn to pieces! Be warned!

No fat

Leviticus 3:17“It is a perpetual statute throughout your generations in all your dwellings: you shall not eat any fat or any blood.'"

Disobedience births disaster and death! It is of utmost importance that I write this devotion today, not just for the Christian community but for the whole world(whoever gets to read this article). Watch this! Observe the last few words of the above scripture, it says ”you shall not eat any fat or any blood.” These words may not be in bold, highlighted or in strong fonts to draw your attention, the Words of God is enough and it demands obedience. Why do I extract part of my devotion which needs careful attention and I make another image for it and post it? Do I have excess of time in hand for me to do all this? My burden for you to get the Word, understand and obey is what makes me do this. If you disobey then you will not be spared, all the pain, failures and calamity in your life may be causes of your disobedience – why not examine????

The sons of Eli priest gave scant regard for the Word of God and Eli was not reprimanding his sons, read: 1 Samuel 2:12 Eli’s sons were scoundrels; they had no regard for the LORD. “

16 If the person said to him, “Let the fat be burned first, and then take whatever you want,” the servant would answer, “No, hand it over now; if you don’t, I’ll take it by force.”

17 This sin of the young men was very great in the LORD’s sight, for they were treating the LORD’s offering with contempt.”

Just because God does not punish immediately sometimes, people get daring and they continue to sin, the Bible warns: Leviticus 26: 23”And if by these things you are not turned to Me, but act with hostility against Me, 24 then I will act with hostility against you; and I, even I, will strike you seven times for your sins.” These words were not concocted and self-designed by me, but these are the Words of God! Eventually on a single day calamity came to the house of Eli, read : 1 Samuel 4:17” Also your two sons, Hophni and Phinehas, are dead, and the ark of God has been captured.” 18 When he mentioned the ark of God, Eli fell backward off his chair by the side of the gate. His neck was broken and he died, for he was an old man, and he was heavy. He had led[a] Israel forty years.”

Believers have literally argued with me rudely for insisting them to be punctual to church, if anyone of you are continuously late to church, mark it, you will be punished one day. You cannot get away being disobedient to God. Since many Christians skip major portions of the Bible, especially the book of Leviticus, they don’t get to see the SIDE OF GOD where He expects/demands obedience.

Leviticus 26:17 'I will set My face against you so that you will be struck down before your enemies; and those who hate you will rule over you, and you will flee when no one is pursuing you.”

Illustration: I write this devotion the day after Independence day celebrations at our Abide School run for the poor in Hyderabad. We had conducted drawing competitions for the students, prior to it they were given instructions regarding it. Regarding drawing of border lines, checking of spelling mistakes of titles that they give, preparing before hand etc. Everyday in the assembly personally I conduct spell bee training for the students; however, during the competitions many students had made spelling mistakes, reckless presentations and were disobedient to instructions. I simply tore the papers that had blatant violation of instructions.

No matter what you do, if there is recklessness, disorderliness and disobedience in your work and life - your life would be torn to pieces! Be warned!
